Thoughts on Bill O'Reilly and Squeaky the Chicago Mouse

To: Bill O'Reilly
From: Roger Ebert

Dear Bill: Thanks for including the Chicago Sun-Times on your exclusive list of newspapers on your "Hall of Shame." To be in an O'Reilly Hall of Fame would be a cruel blow to any newspaper. It would place us in the favor of a man who turns red and starts screaming when anyone disagrees with him. My grade-school teacher, wise Sister Nathan, would have called in your parents and recommended counseling with Father Hogben.

Yes, the Sun-Times is liberal, having recently endorsed our first Democrat for President since LBJ. We were founded by Marshall Field one week before Pearl Harbor to provide a liberal voice in Chicago to counter the Tribune, which opposed an American war against Hitler. I'm sure you would have sided with the Trib at the time......."

At the time of Pearl Harbor Ronald Reagan was still a Democrat and even the average liberal was light years away from where they are now and so was the, then named, Chicago Sun. The paper's editorial position changed over the years. O'Reilly's call for a boycott can't have done them any good.

Chicago Sun-Times

"..The Chicago Sun-Times is an American daily newspaper published in Chicago, Illinois. It is owned by the Sun-Times Media Group, which filed for bankruptcy on March 31, 2009.[2].."

Still makes me happy that I never shopped at Marshall Field and never read the Sun-Time the very long time that I lived in Chicago.

Anyone else get the notion that these nut-job libs, who never seem to get angry, are a bit psychotic? How does one go through life without every getting angry? Have they no passions? Have they no emotional commitment to anything?

Oh, wait. Evan Sayet has the answer... HERITAGE FOUNDATION: "How Modern Liberals Think"

It's long but worth it.

I read somewhere that the word Chicago, in American Indian, means “skunk place”. Must be true.

Want to read a somewhat bizarre Ebert review of a movie? In most reviews, the critic usually refers to the main character by name or as “the hero”- not Ebert for this flick.

I guess Roger has more time on his hands now to write trash like this and for more fantasizing about Elton John.

Roger Ebert is a hate filled, loathing, no factual data, opinionatedliberal that will find any information that looks bad to file against a conservative. BTW, Bill O’reilly is not my idea of a conservative either

Ebert is married to trial attorney Charlie “Chaz” Hammel-Smith. Chaz Ebert is now vice president of the Ebert Company, and has emceed Ebertfest.

He has been friends with, and at one time dated, Oprah Winfrey, who credits him with encouraging her to go into syndication.

As a supporter of the Democratic Party, Ebert publicly urged liberal filmmaker Michael Moore to give a politically-charged acceptance speech at the Academy Awards: “I’d like to see Michael Moore get up there and let ‘em have it with both barrels and really let loose and give them a real rabble-rousing speech.”

During a 2004 visit to The Howard Stern Show, Ebert predicted that the then-junior Illinois senator Barack Obama would be very important to the future of the country.

They seem to spend a LOT of time getting upset, hot and bothered over FOXNEWS without realizing that is the goal.
When was the last time you worried about what a liberal movie reviewer from the Midwest thought or said?

From Wikipedia:

In 2004, the Sun-Times was censured by the Audit Bureau of Circulations for misrepresenting its circulation figures.[7]

After a Sun-Times article by Michael Sneed erroneously identified the perpetrator of the April 16, 2007 Virginia Tech massacre as an unnamed Chinese national, the People's Republic of China criticized the Chicago Sun-Times for publishing what it called “irresponsible reports”.[9] The newspaper later silently withdrew the story without making any apologies or excuses.

“Chicago, in American Indian, means “skunk place”.

Have heard similar - Chicago means “Place where skunk crossed the road (trail).”
