Does she ever leave the house? If so, the neighbors should just “move in.”

Does she have any possessions? If so, “acquire” them.

She has electricity? Cut remove the meter or cut the wires.

She has water? Get a valve wrench and shut it off.

Give her a 10-Missippi count to get her ass out of there or find her a new home in a cell.

I work long hard days to earn a living, keep my home, feed my family. Insulting to think some yahoo just assumes some ownership of a $400K home.

Our bizaro-world that put obamma in office includes too many who think in terms of entitlement. This ‘Queen Omega’ isn’t entitled to anything other than to get up each day and work like the rest of us. She and the organization that helped her needs to be b-slapped. Hard.

On the other hand, as long as she is there with water and power, there is some possibility that she will keep the plumbing and wiring from being stolen for their copper value.

They’ll soon be making “adverse possession” claims...count on it.

a small advocacy group of local volunteers called Take Back the Land

Isn't "taking back" something you never owned called "theft"?

We have no property rights, Kelo decision saw to that.

When are the working people and the people of values going to say we have had enough? Vigilante justice may not be the right thing to do until it is the only thing to do.

OK, this is definitely wrong. But...how is it any more wrong than the gov using our tax dollars to bail out banks, insurance companies, auto makers and so on ?

Buckle up folks - until the American public gets outraged about all of the theft, it will just keep happening.

But how on Earth did the woman get water and electricity on, when she didn’t live there?

What about paying taxes on the property? Certainly the tax folks will get to the bottom of this. They can be pretty nasty when they don’t receive their tax money.

(s) why does any comrade of the obamanation need a second house, if they have the ability to afford two homes then they should pay for the deadbeat family to use the second house. (/s)

The owner of the property must pay taxes. She is not the owner. The tax authorities won’t be giving her a hard time.

The article says she got utilities turned on and even internet connection. Where is she getting the money to pay for utilities for that kind of house and she wouldn’t need internet unless she has a computer. She does plan to sell the clothing online. Something about this story doesn’t ring true.

they lie.

they use jumper cables to circumvent the meter...

bolt cutters to cut the padlock on the water...

they STOLE a house, why should they care about STEALING the other items?

Ya ever notice these squatters never settle in a modest home under $100,000? Detroit is full of empty houses.

Ms. Omega, 48, is one of the beneficiaries of the foreclosure crisis. Through a small advocacy group of local volunteers called Take Back the Land, she moved from a friend’s couch into a newly empty house that sold just a few years ago for more than $400,000.
'a small advocacy group'. Oh really...
Take Back the Land

MISSION
People of African descent have been systematically denied control of land in their communities- from slavery to sharecropping to segregation to the current gentrification and displacement of our communities.

... We assert our right to the land in our community and to use public space for the public good- specifically, to house, feed and provide community space for the poor, particularly in low income black communities. As such, we are Taking Back the Land and empowering the black community, not the politicians, to determine how to use land for the benefit of the community.

This is what the Bolsheviks did.
Welcome to Obamaland.

Is it time to Lock and Load yet?

If I were the owner, I would sue the utility company and water company for establishing service without my permission. The new resident needs to show a lease or landlord permission to establish service where I come from.

You're much kinder than I am. Maybe I'm gettin old, but and I'm losing my patience with these people.

I see MY country goin down the toilet while The Kenyan pretender-in-chief is gallivanting around Europe 'apologizing' for our greatness, oops - 'past sins'. And when he is here, he's holding Wednesday Night Conga Line Dance Parties in the WH.

Something is gonna give and it won't be me.

Well, if one of their own can empower himself by squatting in publicly owned housing in Washington, why wouldn’t they try and follow example?
