Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., a Democratic Presidential candidate, was accused of plagiarism while in his first year at Syracuse University Law School, academic officials familiar with Mr. Biden's record said today.
Mr. Biden, who as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee is presiding over the hearings on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Robert H. Bork, has called a news conference for 9 A.M. Thursday to discuss this charge and reports that he has lifted material from speeches by other politicians to use in his public addresses.
A Biden aide, who asked not to be identified, declined to comment on the plagiarism charge, saying Mr. Biden wanted to discuss it himself. ''It's his life,'' the aide said.
According to the people familiar with the record of the 44-year-old Senator from Delaware, he was called before the disciplinary body at the law school during his first year because of charges that he had committed plagiarism on a paper. Mr. Biden entered the school in 1965 and graduated in 1968.
CBS News tonight quoted an aide to Mr. Biden as saying he had been exonerated. However, an academic official said Mr. Biden had been found guilty, ''threw himself on the mercy of the board'' and promised not to repeat the offense. This, according to the official, persuaded the board to drop the matter and allow Mr. Biden to remain in law school. Mr. Biden's office declined to clarify the circumstances surrounding the case, saying the Senator had insisted on handling the matter himself at the news conference.

Biden also lied about the wreck that killed his wife. He said that the truck driver was drunk....he was NOT...and that he hit her...he did NOT...she pulled out in front of him. It was her fault. The man died recently a broken man because of Biden lying about the accident.

Why insist on remaining anonymous Mr. Biden aide? You declined to comment. Why remain behind the shadows? Are you afraid of retribution? Do you fear for your life? Or are you just a coward that the media will protect because you’re a Biden aide and not a Bush or Palin aide?
Rove was trying to be nice, first calling him a “serial exaggerator”. Maybe to stay in the PC vein, we could say he is “veracity-challenged”

This is incredibly old news and surfaced when biden was running for his party’s nomination several years back (I blieve in 91). It was probably used against him by Clinton and the NY slime back then. In fact, biden is a serial plagiarist having also plagiarized at least one speech from a british parliamentarian. Poor Joe, he has a serious disability...aka as a character flaw to match his intellect When he ran with obambi this time I have no recollection of any msm running the stories of biden’s cheating adventures.
So why now. It’s not because the slime is taking sides with rove. Perhaps the slime believes that biden has not been vocal enough for the left or against his Church or against Israel. Joe better get with the NYSlime program.

The NY Times published this in 1987, what is remarkable is that no one in the MSM dare repeat this. This is posted to do the job that the MSM refuses to do. If Sarah Palin had this in her record they would have been hanging banners from buildings proclaiming it.
There is a youtube of a citizen confronting him with this and Biden yelling at him screaming “I am smarter than you!”
The ADM (Agenda Driven Media) is running this story just for that very reason, it’s an old story so it helps to report something that appears damaging to a Democrat who in their estimation is just a throw in to give off the appearance of objectivity to try to save a dying new organization.

Then there's the tall tale during the debate, about his spending a lot of time at a specific diner/coffee shop in Delaware, yet Freepers from the area said that the diner he had mentioned had closed several years before.

What has gotten into the NYT? They’ve forgotten their own rules: current corruption of Democrats is irrelevant, and bringing up old corruption is nothing but hate speech. When they bring up stuff like this, it’s only the exception that proves the general rule of their hateful and calculated partisanship.
It is an old article that was brought up out of the archives. You are right they would never mention it and if they could they would go back in time and spike it.
