Tapper: Get ready for change … back

The Bush administration got excoriated by the Left for its expansive use of the state-secrets doctrine. Barack Obama and other Democratic presidential hopefuls pounded Bush for its use. In fact, that was one of the principal components of Hope and Change — a shift away from secrecy and back to the “rule of law,” although no one has shown how Bush actually broke any laws in the first place. Apparently, Obama agrees, and as Jake Tapper reports, has decided to expand the Bush practice on state secrets:

Being skeptical of government power when President Bush implemented these laws, I was sure that if there were any violations, the ‘progressives’ would have him up on impeachment charges faster than you can say ‘Constitution’. So far there has been no proof.
Who will expose any ‘progressive’ violations? That worries me.

Bu, Bu, Bu, but. This is the ear of Hope, Change and transparency.
Haven't we all seen that as hopelessness, same old Shi'ite, and secrets so opaque that no one is allowed to see it until it's signed sealed, delivered and an atrocity to American freedoms.
Just look at what's going on this very minute with the act of piracy against American shipping.
Obama wants Biden to appoint a Piracy Czar and Kerry wants to open an investigation, while the captain of the ship remains a captive.
This is not what our forefathers planned for us.
We have truly returned to the Pre 9/11 mindset in Washington. This is making America a laughing stock in the eyes of the world. We have become the PAPER TIGER our enemies have claimed we are.

It was all I could do to not laugh in the face of some of my lib friends who were convinced that the Bush admin was spying on them. They had no evidence of course, but everybody knows that the Bushies just couldn’t wait to start spying on, arresting, convicting, and imprisoning or executing dissenters. That they couldn’t produce one innocent American to whom these things have happened did not diminish their paranoia in the slightest.
