Mr. Sullivan speaks with the authority of a tea room veteran.

King George:

"The colonies shall not be emancipated"

Albert Gore Senior (algore's father who voted against the civil right's act)

"Black people want to sit where on the bus?!?"

Andrew Sullivan (now I can say I've heard of him...)

"Tantrums! You're throwing tantrums!"

Option 1: It's a protest of the bank bailouts orchestrated by Bush and now Obama. But surely these tea-partiers understand what would happen if we didn't bail the banks out. Are they advocating letting major banks fail?

It's called the Free Enterprise system, Andrew. Some banks will fail due to their short-sighteness and greed, and other, stronger banks step in to take up the slack. Sure we'd have some pain as this happens, but the entire system would emerge stronger. It's not government's place to meddle.

Option 2: It's a protest against tax hikes. But there have barely been any!

Oh, just you wait. BOHICA!

Option 3: It's a protest against illegal immigration. Ok, so why the tea? Weren't all the original tea-partiers illegal immigrants?

Really weak, Andrew. The founding fathers were illegal aliens? I don't remember them sneaking past the Indian ICE agents from my history books.

Option 4: It's a protest against government debt. Yay! I will leave aside the somewhat awkward fact that Fox News and Pajamas Media barely covered the massive debt racked up by the Republicans during a period of economic growth.

Should have been checking FR. We've been raving about it for years!

What it looks like to me is some kind of amorphous, generalized rage on the part of those who were used to running the country and now don’t feel part of the culture at all. But the only word for that is: tantrum.

So, andrew, who’s been running the country? Seems to me the things you mentioned that were needing change were all attempted by the ones you accuse of running the country, and were promptly shut down by the ones really running the country into the ground as it turned out.

Oh he gets it and I think he’s a teeny bit nervous that rank and file Americans have had it with the crap constantly being shoveled down our throats by bureaucrats at all levels.

He’s just being cute.

I see quite a lot of articles now by Liberals and people in the MSM who are upset about the Tea Parties, and are ridiculing them with increasing frequency.

It is always the stuck hog who squeels.

That's Sullivan on the left.....

When Andrew Sullivan is channeling his best 13 year-old girl persona you know something has struck a nerve. He and the rest of the petulant left are worried. Their Obama-god has clay feet and they desperately want the grown ups to tell them what to do. They are very scared when the people seem to be aware that the national socialists have no idea what they are doing.

I spent the better part of an hour earlier today scanning the various sites and blogs to try and understand what specifically the Fox-Pajamas tea parties are about. Having absorbed about as much of the literature as I can, I have to say I'm still befuddled.

Be sure and read the previous quote aloud in a whining, lispy, bitch-boy British accent to get the full effect.

Personally, I am befuddled as to how Andrew Sullivan and his fellow bone-smugglers can look at another man's hairy bunghole and get aroused.

It's high time that we purged our ranks of fifth-columnist poseurs like Sullivan who want to hijack and subvert the conservative movement.

Sounds like he is the one “whining” here. We are merely peacefully standing for our rights. Our words may be loud, but we are certainly not “juveniles” either...

I’m told the big fella is just “nuts over” Sullivan.

Nyuck-nyuck-nyuck.

couldn’t agree with the major errors in facts here?

Bush’s deficits are 1/4 Obama’s, is that what you think is okay?

If there is any group who knows best about throwing tantrums, it is the libtards, including their subgroups of Prop8 protestors, “no justice, no peace” entitlement race baiters, feminazis, algores, Bush derangement sufferers, Code Pinkos and shrieking infanticiders.

Liberals are befuddled with Tea Party grass roots folks who want a return to the Constitution as the law of the land. Secondly, they still blame Bush for everything. We need to enact the HR450 legislation, where any new laws created by Congress needs to include a citation of the authority granted chapter-and-verse from the Consitution.

If you don’t get the first part, get this: We don’t want LIBERAL’s deficit spending, taxes, entitlements or wealth redistribution. Return to the gold standard and don’t spend what we don’t have...PERIOD!

Sorry, but we need to phase out Medicare and Medicaid, to go by the way side in 10 years. Families need to support families. We don’t want to pay for College free rides for everyone. We don’t need a nation of lifetime students!

...and we can’t afford Nationalized Health Care! Remove FDA regulations on access to prescription-only drugs. For example, I don’t need to pay a doctor a cut when I have a sinus infection. I just need a simple antibiotic that the Pharmacist knows will work. This would save everyone a lot of money for access to simple drug treatments (I am not talking about Chemo).

We could keep Social Security if the Government thiefs would stop stealing money from it and leaving worthless IOUs...and no free ride for ex-Congressmen for the lifetime pensions. Remove any provision that allows Congress to give themselves raises whenever they want to. And get rid of the unconstitutional FEDERAL RESERVE!

RESTRICT activitst judges ability to create new laws against the will of the people. Our majority vote should mean something.

Even if Liberals read this post, they still won’t get it.

These are not tea-parties. They are tea-tantrums. And the adolescent, unserious hysteria is a function not of a movement regrouping and refinding itself. It's a function of a movement's intellectual collapse and a party's fast-accelerating nervous breakdown.

Wow, I didn't know Sully had a degree in sociology.

She obviously hasn't been seriously looking at the tea party folks, and she obviously doesn't know the truth about thw whole movement.

These aren't, for instance, "Fox" tea partys. Fox is choosing to COVER the news, though, and for that I applaud them.

Also, the tea parties are about expansion of government, particularly the printing press money methods adopted by ALL in government power in the last 6 months...but exacerbated by Hussein's administration.

In fact, if she'd think instead of trying to be clever with the keyboard, Sully would find Hussein has pretty much outspent Bush in his first 100 days.

Of course, expecting these liberals to do honest journalism is also kind of like expecting the sun to rise in the west and set in the east: you can IMAGINE it, but it won't really happen.
