Tea Party movement aims to inspire revolution (Spew-worthy)
The San Francisco Examiner ^ | April 9, 2009 | Wyatt Shev

April 15th.

Write that date down; people - it could very well mark the beginning of the end. With the notoriously conservative Tea Party movement gaining steam, is it time to take the ‘United’ out of ‘United States’?

An off-the-cuff and seemingly harmless comment from CNBC drone Rick Santelli- who called for a Chicago ‘Tea Party’ in response to Obama’s handling of the worsening economic situation- has now developed into a full-blown national movement.

On April 15th, hundreds of thousands of PO’d red meat eatin’ Americans will converge on the streets to protest the Obama administration’s policies and platforms. Over 360 cities nationwide have been confirmed as protest staging points, and conservative luminaries like Newt Gingrich and Sean ‘Rough Rider’ Hannity will lend their considerable girth and celebrity to ensure a sense of bloated spectacle.

The Tea (Taxed Enough Already) Party-people consider themselves a coherent and diverse network of Americans from every conceivable walk of life. They are cultural warriors fighting against the tax-happy, spend-happy ways of the evil Obama cabal, real American patriots, and staunch defenders against the creeping evils of Socialism.

In reality, their ‘movement’ is incredibly divisive, a mindset that stands in sharp contrast to Obama’s calls for bipartisanship in this time of great national need. Their arguments have the potential to divide the country along titanic lines not seen since the bloody days of the Civil War.

Think I’m exaggerating here? The Tea Party movement is an incredibly dangerous concept, fuelled by the usual gushes of sycophantic support from the conservative news media (here’s looking at you, Fox). Consider a recent poll posted on Sean Hannity’s website, asking his loyal followers if they thought America was ripe for ‘revolution’. Or perhaps you’ve heard some of the vitriolic treasonous crap spewing forth from the mouth of Fox’s resident white-haired lunatic, He Who Shall Go Unnamed. You can tune in to his show practically any day of the week for an (increasingly) thinly veiled call to arms against the President and his evil liberal cronies.

The Tea Party Movement is basically a flag for Republicans disenfranchised by last year’s election results to rally behind. Give it up, guys. You lost fair and square. Obama and his policies have the mandate of the people- unlike a certain Bush I could mention.

If the country continues down this dark path, a second Civil War might not just be a cool idea for a sci-fi novel anymore. Can you imagine the potential for chaos if some of these ‘protesters’ decide to exercise the Second Amendment and bring their weapons to these rallies? There’s a thin line between peaceful protest and bloodthirsty patriotic fervor, especially if those protesting are used to being on the side of the mighty status quo.

I hope April 15th comes and goes without major incident. And I hope the protesters fail in their mission to bring their message to a national audience. It’s a message of fear, prejudice and, quite frankly, hate.

President Obama was elected democratically, according to the doctrines set forth by the Founding Fathers. The Tea Party movement represents a real danger to the tenets of democracy Americans have embraced for centuries.

There are now only 1351 days left until the End of the World.

So now that conservatives, libertarians, independents and businesspeople are protesting, it's "divisive" is it?

This is the same poeple who loved too scream “Bush Hitler” & “Chimpy Hitler.”

They are like small children having a temper tantrum with the reasoning ability of a slug.

What absolute Bravo Sierra. For the life of me I can't see how these little fascists keep a straight face while writing such drivel and lies.

Obama has been the most devicive President in history. He has locked out, blocked out, and thrwarted all form of debate and difference in his headlong run to marxism.

Now when people protest that, it is who are devicive? Bunk!

Responses like this tell me that the TEA movement is spot on target and the little marxists fear it.

Maybe this is the democrat party media indirectly warning us that they have infiltrated their ACORN/MoveOn thugs to incite racist and violent threats at the Tea Party for MSNBC/CNN/CBS fake reports and phony phot-ops.

He says this as if this would be a bad thing.

Count on it, nancy-boy (the author of that article). Open carry is legal and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are all the ‘permit’ I need. And I won’t be alone. If you come to our little get-together here in CDA, you’d best bring another change of Depends.

Anyone care to wager that what has most got this wanker shaking in his boots that he might be targeted by one of his own side’s agent provocateurs?

He KNOWS his loons are looney, and so he has every reason to be afraid for his safety.

Most of us wouldn't protest except for the fact that this administration is moving us toward Fascism. Those of us who read history and did well in school know the end result.
I will be protesting in Albany NY because I took the oath to preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States!

It’s been very interesting, Jeff. Lately, I’ve started conversations with complete strangers by saying, April 15th. 3:00 PM. and they’ve finished the sentence by saying, “Tea Party!”

Word’s out. The MSM isn’t going to be able to cover this up. So they’re settling for demonizing us instead. Right out of the Alinsky playbook. Thank God people are staring to wake up. I hope and pray that it is not too late. For America to survive as a free society, that is.

Unfortunately, it is too late for a peaceable path back to the principles of the Founders, though.

Regards - Ward

Actually, I enjoyed reading this. I just hope some of the fear this dim bulb expresses is borne out. I hope his fears are felt by a lot of these people.

Of course some of his fears are whiny and irrational. Like all of us carrying our guns to these rallies and shooting up Dodge.

And his efforts to enshrine BO’s legitimacy ring hollow. Elected by the media, sans proof of birth hardly qualifies as “elected democratically, according to the doctrines set forth by the Founding Fathers”. I’ve noticed of late more and more lefty pundits are beating the “BO is legit” drum. A little too much. I think the BC issue is gnawing away at them a little. Not that I think we have a real chance of turning him out on that, even though I believe he is not legally the Pres.

Actions will ALWAYS speak louder than words! Successful actions by the majority of non-leftists will result in political change. Just words by the majority of non-leftists will only keep the leftists in control longer. Also, the majority of VOTERS need plenty of reasons to seriously and willingly vote against all leftists, at each and every political level, and for the long-term, instead of just for the short-term! At the same time, leftists, worldwide, are seriously doing everything that they can do to suppress any to all non-leftist success (e.g. adding illegal immigrants and almost all criminals as additional leftist voters and attempting to put an end to the entire non-leftist media, among a finite number of other pro-leftist actions that continue to be done all over the world).

Tea parties must be coupled with a drive to vote all the incumbents out of office in 2010 and 2012. Send the US Congressional elitists a message that we are not their serfs or their peons and they are not Royalty.

Prejudice? Hate?

Anyone who disagrees with a Marxist is a “racist” and a “hater”.

Geeze! How about a little originality? My senior year high school teacher would have circled that with a great big red: TRITE!

Regretfully, I fear that to be the case. Even more, though, I fear that should it truly become necessary, the will of the people is not sufficient to go the distance.
