Pirates have seized two ships in which America has an interest and continue to hold Richard Phillips, Captain of the Maersk Alabama, for two million dollars ransom.

After several days of witnessing the lone superpower in the universe literally brought to its knees by four Johnny Depp caliber pirates, even journalists in the leftist media are starting to wonder:

Where in the hell is President and Commander-in-chief Barack Obama?

Until now, Obama has been strangely mute, preferring to let Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speak for the administration.

Obama's foreirn policy can be summed up in one word "talk".

Talk failed to persuade North Korea not to test its long range missile.

Talk is not deterring Iran's rush to become a nuclear nation.

Talk is failing to free the US ship captain.

Can we say Obama's foreign policy is failing after less than three months in office?

When you make the safety of the Captain the most important objective above national interests, this is the kind of ridiculous situation you find yourself in, i.e., four ragtag pirates in a lifeboat without gas in the middle of the ocean making demands and holding the world’s lone superpower hostage for five days.

The sad part is that if the Captain is released unharmed most of the American people will consider this a success and won’t even care if the pirates are allowed to escape back to Somalia.

I’m no military man, but surely Obama’s responsibilities could be easily discharged by calling his Secretary of the Navy and saying “make this problem go away, and if possible rescue the captain, but in no event are the pirates to escape alive.”

Or if that is distasteful, call the Texas Governor, and ask “Do you have a spare Texas Ranger who knows how to swim?”

He could fix his problem so easily. Why the delay?

John Lillpop is under the false impression that this pirate attack is an act of war so Barry should somehow react. Well, it's not. Barry's people have clearly stated this piracy is a criminal act.

So right now Eric Holder is trying to find the pirates lawyers - as is their 'right' - then they'll 'arrest' the pirates.

This is typical of the liberal mindset.....conservatives are simple-minded, and one needs to understand and consider all of the nuances of a situation before acting. As a result, Obama is so nuanced that he is unable to act or even provide the nation with a clear and concise message about dealing with the pirates.

Bill Clinton fled from Mogadishu with his tail between his legs, encouraging Osama bin Laden to attack us by showing weakness. Obama is repeating the same old mistakes.

I think that this pirate attack is just a warm up for a bigger attack by Islamofacists on America. And President Zero won't do anything when that happens just like he won't do anything against the pirates. Zero thinks that America is an evil country that deserves to be punished.

Funny. Margaret Thatcher said one time she could trace the fall of the British Empire to the invention and use of the telephone. Seems while the Empire was doing well, their Viceroys and the like, on the scene, did the right thing without interference from Whitehall.

In a similar fashion here, when we have the nimrods in the Whitehouse telling each commander what to do rather than just giving them a strategic mission and allowing their operation plans to follow the direction of that mission, we end up with this: 4 rag tags in a row boat dictating to an entire naval fleet.

I bet this incident is being portrayed like Tiananmen Square in all of the Kenyan’s brother nations.
