Cheered wildly by U.S. troops, begins Jennifer Democratic Operative Lovens AP report on Obamas surprise visit to Iraq on Tuesday.
Quite a contrast to the silent treatment Marines gave Obama at his Camp LeJeune speech in late February. Just how did Obama manage to fix that little problem?
According to a sergeant in Iraq :
*****We were pre-screened, asked by officials Who voted for Obama?, and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line. They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up. [Via Macsmind.]****
As supporting evidence for the digital-cameras part of the story, the sergeant (or Mac, cant tell which), suggests that the identical cameras can be verified in the AP photos. Looks right:
Charles Dharapak/associated press
So will the press cover this evidence of a staged and unrepresentative show of military affection for our anti-military president? The reporters were there. Did they actually see the troops being sorted by whether they voted for Obama, which the sergeant describes as happening on the spot?
Stephen Hursts AP report is upfront about Obamas fervent desire for a heros welcome:
WASHINGTON President Barack Obama went for the defining television shot by capping his first extended foreign tour with a surprise visit to Iraq.
He got it pictures of hundreds of U.S. troops cheering wildly as he told them it was time for the Iraqis to take charge of their own future.
Just no mention of HOW Obama managed to fake this response: Obama lovers to the front!
FLASHBACK: How the press treated the merest impression of a staged troop response under President Bush, even when there was no actual manipulation
Remember this headline from 2005:
Bush Teleconference With Soldiers Staged
It dominated the headlines and the television news-analysis for days, and the fabricated scandal was utterly dishonest. The so-called staging involved no manipulation whatsoever. A group of soldiers who were scheduled for a televised chat with President Bush were caught on tape discussing ahead of time who would answer questions on what subjects. There was NO discussion of WHAT should be said.
Now there is evidence that Obama perpetrated an actual fraud right under the watching eyes of the press, handpicking Obama voters to represent on television the views of our soldiers, and the press reports nothing but the fraudulent story.
Piling it on
Of course the AP stories about Obamas surprise Iraq trip are larded with other bits of pro-Obama, anti-Bush disinformation as well. Hurst ends with his own interpretation of the glorious new age of Obama:
The world has been alerted to a new U.S. approach that breaks with the go it alone style of Bush.
Go it alone as in going into Iraq with a coalition of 40 countries and an evenly split minority party (same degree of Democrat support in the Senate as opposition in the House).
Neither did the press note the glaring counter-factuals in Obamas speech. From The New York Times:
The president said that it was time for Iraqis to take responsibility for their country and for their sovereignty.
So why does it take Gateway Pundit to point out that sovereignty has already been transferred in 13 of 18 provinces?
All the disinformation that fits in print.
That is more what I have heard. I know more people who voted for other parties than voted for Obama. And of the people I have actually discussed politics with who are military (much less than you are numbering) , as would be expected, the military is overwhelmingly conservative and voted for McCain. Female officers might tend to be more liberal, in my personal experience (which is little).
The ones who were more ‘against’ McCain (not conservative enough, etc.) tended to lean toward Ron Paul/Libertarian or Constitution party candidates. I was just citing reasons I thought people might vote for Obama.
I was looking to see if you were on this thread. I’d know that if you verified it, it was true.
(Did they get to keep those cameras?)
(Did they get to keep those cameras?)
LOL - I'm not sure. Probably - money from the "stimulus" package, ya know. I just got back last night, but it seemed to be the first thing everyone wanted to tell me about - how the whole thing was staged.
I was disgusted, but not at all surprised.
Digg per Mamzelle!
>>This story only has one DIGG—please digg it, FReepers!<<
Janincolorado has the Digg ping list, for anyone who wants to join!
Told ya. (well, not you, STARWISE)
This sounds as bad as his mama having to hang a pork chop around his neck to get the dog to play with him.
By all rights, they should have been rounded up and given their discharge papers.
I wonder how many they had to go through to find a crowd of that size...200, 2000, 20,000, 200,000 or 2,000,000.
Is there a wider angle view of the group?Doesn`t it seem that there are a lot of people of color?Would the amount there be a representative sample of the military as a whole?Hey,lets not mince words, the poles showed that Barky got a much higher percentage of hispanic and black voters. At the least, affirmative action crowd filling.
EXCELLENT, POT!!!!!! A winner!
~~PING! ... (and swiped .. ;)
That is truly stunning, isn’t it ?? Just .. wow.
Thank you ... I know you know. Hugs .... Happy Easter, Alleluia.......... ;)
They are turning this country into a cesspool.
Id hate to be those useful idiots who allowed themselves to be duped into some GOVERNMENT mind-control escapade when they get back to their regular units.
wonderful graphic potlatch (liked your Easter one at Amy’s also!)
Happy Easter FRiend!
Thank you & Happy Easter ladies (well allegra..yours is about over!)
That is so cool how you did that and it says it all too.
If you are retired military then you must be retired for a LONG time not to know that there is a sizeable welfare class, even among those in uniform. The professional custodial single parents, those with four children with three different fathers. You can typically spot them at the PX and Commissary making purchases for all four families in the base area they are taking care of. No, Obama has his supporters in uniform, though as you get toward the tip of the spear they are fewer and fewer.
What base are you on that you’re not allowed to have bumper stickers on the car, or is this a family imposed condition.
That’s some tagline you got there, alright!
For someone who says we are not a Christian nation, it is the least I can do.
...that it is!
We’ve always done things that way. It’s an ethical thing to us - we have/he has always avoided any appearance of partisanship as a representative of the military community.
I have never seen or heard of any directive about bumper stickers anywhere. Certainly no campaign signs in yards. It seems a kind of extension of that, to me. I know that not everyone agrees.
Again, my heartfelt thanks!
Awesome post...needs to be seen EVERYWHERE!!!
Not ONE American flag seen ANYWHERE around Zero (except the one behind the soldiers in one picture)! Telling.
Thanks for the ping, Star!
It makes sense they would front load the crowd with supporters. But I still think even a soldier who didn’t support him for president would be polite and shake his hand.
The most Corrupt press in the history of America.
Pray for America and Our Troops
Thank you so much for this, I will share the information with others.
All of those identical cameras are mighty fishy...
As soon as I saw your post, I knew for sure.
I knew it had to be stanged when someone in that audience screamed out “We Love You” and others began to yell out and applaud.
That had to be a “plant”!

He will keep them overtime as he promised not to.I know :)
If they gave them digital cameras, was it allowed by requlation?
Obama will see to it that their taxes are raised retroactively to cover 100% of the cost of the camera and then some.
Retired in 1996. Very few, if any of the types you describe when I was active duty.
I knew of many that had joined for the wrong reason but in my career field they were weeded out early because of the stress and the importance of the duty.
We had the chance in 2000 with Alan Keyes. But he was running on his ideas, not the novelty.
Had he been elected, it would have been fun to watch liberals heads explode.
Our president is a sick man. He needs adulation and will go to any extreme to get it. I feel sorry for America.
Not a smile on any of their faces. That in itself is telling.
This is not a surprise to me.
Every LIEberal event is choreographed. They have been doing it for years — cf. The Ministry of Truth.
Your 4th photo must be a fake, we know from Zeros event, digital cameras only come in silver.
It most certainly is NOT a fake. That is when he was at Camp LeJeune.
They came because they got a free digital camera if they smiled and used it. Then they told it was staged. They got a free camera, obummer looks like a fool again, mission accomplished.
The PravdaPoodles will do exactly as their told. And do it with delight.
It's probably against the law or the regs somewhere. Not that law matters anymore in our Post-Constitution Era.
I love the 3rd pic with the kid in the back taking a nap!
Where did you get these?
