What exactly are liberals crowing about today? They detest the military. The United States military successfully rescued Great American, Captain Richard Phillips on Easter Sunday. Our troops performed superbly, and the matter was finally ended, most decisively, by expertly trained, highly skilled Navy SEALS.
To hear liberals tell it, Barack Obama was whispering into the SEAL teams earpieces throughout the entire ordeal.

They do not detest the military when they are wielding it. Haven’t you read the story about Clinton’s inauguration?
This guy needs to do some basic fact checking before he writes.
USS Boxer (LHD-4) was commissioned in 1995.

USS Boxer (CV-21) was commissioned in 1945, decommissioned in 1969 and broken up for scrap in 1971.
” The military was already authorized to use force against pirates or to free hostages; unless ordered not to by a superior officer.
It is the White House that is claiming Obama gave the Pentagon two standing orders to use force if the Captains life were in imminent danger.
One has to wonder at what point after being taken hostage by heavily armed, khat crazed pirates, was Captain Phillips life NOT in danger? “
” The other question that must be raised is:
why the need for two separate orders saying exactly the same thing?
Despite what the left chooses to believe about their reincarnation of General Patton,
the chain of command doesnt work that way. “
“Why did the President have to issue orders to use force if the Captain was in imminent danger if the ROE already provided that?
Unless, the truly unthinkable is what really happened: that the President had ordered the Navy not to act
and seriously believed the FBI was going to resolve this thing. “
Bingo.
The White House scenario of events raises more questions than it answers.
You expect a Urinalist to do research and write an accurate story?
All while commanding the seas to stop rising, etc....
He is a she. Still, just damn poor reporting.
Two separate chains of command require two ROE's from the Joint Chiefs/Obama.
The USS Boxer doesn't have any Seal teams aboard.
Poor reporting, here but none of the media have it right.
” The first ROE was issued for the Seal Team that was land based in Djibouti “
Something about the White House timeline does not make sense.
The White House doesn’t issue the first ROE till Fri night at 9:30 ?
Phillips was taken Wed, he tried to escape Thursday,
BO doesn’t issue the ROE until Friday night
and doesn’t bring in the SEAL team from the Horn of Africa until Saturday-per ABC News.
Barry dithered until Friday night.
He was lucky this time, next time he may have to make a split second decision.
It depends on who's in charge.
Of course, in the case of Bonsnia, the left had the added benefit that we were bombing Christians in support of the Muslims.
One has to wonder at what point after being taken hostage by heavily armed, khat crazed pirates, was Captain Phillipsâ life NOT in danger? â
This is the key here: “Khat crazed”
When paranoia took the Pirates over and would not go with Obama’s plans to turn them into heros, they became “extremists”, and the Captain’s life became “in danger”.
Not to be cynical, but we cannot be too naïve with the shrewds.
Obama perhaps intervened to prevent an attrocity that would have made the pirates look worse and himself look real bad for letting known his game plan of druggies overruning things. The FBI was there to inform him of the situation in order to gain control over it and interfere with the confidence/management of the US military. (tatletale FBI?)
They detest the military so much, they cut the funding whenever they’re in power. In fact, Obama recently cut funding and plans to do some more cutting, including the production of the next generation F-22 fighter jet.
