The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.
A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.
"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.

Should our country resort to Civil War, I hope these idiots will come to know that it was THEY that push us into one.

Obama comes up with some sophistry to define these “right wing extremists” (us) as terrorists, and he’s home free under Bush’s “war on terrorism.” Suspend habeas corpus, like Lincoln did. I.e. the whole country’s prisons become a Gitmo. Think any court would disobey him?

Makes one anxious, wondering how the
other two equal branches of government,
plus the military, would deal with a
potential massive Exec. branch clampdown
on our Constitutional freedoms, if that
would ever come to happen.
It’s incomprehensible to consider the
oppression and tyranny that’s implied.

THEY are characterizing the 10th Amendment as an extremist/terrorist doctrine so I don't think there is any confusion here as to who the rebels against the Republic are.
Whoever wrote this "Assessment of right wing extremism" has committed sedition.

The only political card left would be a Congress willing to impeach and convict (can’t imprison Congress).

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration. DHS just classified a broad group of states rights conservatives as Right Wing Extremists. We are now entering dangerous times.

Exactly! They have called the 10th Amendment an extremist right wing doctrine. The logical extension of that is to brand the Federalist Papers the same way.

definition of ‘terrorist’:
“Anyone guilty of anti-Soviet thought.”
Oh wait, wrong country.
“Anyone guilty of anti-Chavez thought.”
Oops.
“Anyone guilty of anti-Socialist thought.”
There, that’s it!
Alternate:
“Anyone guilty of anti-Obama thought.”

"How in Gods name are they going to abrogate the Constitution and the Supreme Court with these dictates ?" "Abrogation" has occurred continuously for the past 100 days....and, to a lesser degree, for the past 90 years. In fact, now that you have mentioned Him, you are clearly marked for "abrogation" by those who now rule us.
There is nothing left to "abrogate". Even Marilyn Chambers has been "abrogated" for good. What is left?

Since MSM journalists are usually incapable of asking intelligent questions, here's one they can use if/when the producers of this document are ever interviewed.
Your document labels "those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority" as Right Wing Extremists. Would you also consider the following statement to be extreme? The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The FBI was quoted Monday as saying that, since November, more than 7 million people have applied for criminal background checks in order to buy weapons.
Stunning.WOW. That IS stunning. And that is just papered transactions...

"I don't think even our worst fears went this far. We have a new enemy = us." I dunno... Not only did I see this coming months ago... There were pretty obvious hints about it before obama even cinched the nomination.
Clinton did much the same... the only real difference is that with the post 9-11 government 'security' bureaucracies and the media, both paranoid, totally on his side and willing to lie for ratings, 0bama can take it to a whole new level.
It has long been obvious that the left fears a patriotic American with a gun than they do a declared enemy with weapons of mass destruction.
