Thank you, how sweet :)
BTW, I’m a TT, too. Got flushed out of La. from Katrina.

Good luck getting off Cornyn's mailing list.
I emailed him after he supported tax-cheat Geithner, saying I would support any reasonable Republican challenger in the next primary. I got back a form email newsletter saying how "conservative" he is, and got added to the spam list.
I've tried to get off the spam list, but nothing works... Maybe loss of his job will.
It's a shame. He really came across as conservative, once upon a time.

folks here ignore the fact that even with 55% of the white vote we still lost last November
the worm turned
check your historical stats (not you personally)
the browning of America will result in more liberalsim not matter how hard naive folks wish it away.

Was it New Orleans that you were flushed from after Katrina? Where at in Texas did you land (We welcome all Freepers to Texas)

grab every government dime you possibly can before the parasites gobble it all up. I'm not worried about myself. It's my children and grandchildren. They don't know what was lost, what we screwed up.
And it isn't all about the money, it's what they do with it and the corrosive effect that living on others, on producers has on body politic.

Bywater, Marigny, Terrytown, Metairie and Slidell. Got flooded out of Slidell, lost my home. Relocated to Fort Worth.

The problem is that there is no “government dime.” What’s being handed out are IOU notes, with generations of taxpayers on the hook.

I’m disappointed with the main political choices in Texas. Looks like Cornyn is a RINO. Goodhair and Hutchins are both RINOs.

It's scary. What happened to my country?
Voters sent the same two parties to Washington for 150 years. Those parties maintained the illusion of two parties, when in fact their mutual goal was consolidation of power at the federal level. Clinton increased government control. Then Bush increased government control by enacting many of the measures that the Reno justice department asked for half a decade earlier (the patriot act.)
And DHS itself was born under a Republican presidency and congress.
People are going to have to be more cautious about endorsing permanent government power grabs. There were many debates about these measures on this very site in 2001, 2002, and 2003.
