Norm Coleman doesnt have much support back home for contesting the results of the Minnesota Senate race, according to a new poll of Minnesota voters conducted by Public Policy Polling.
The poll showed that 63 percent of Minnesota voters said they believe Coleman should concede the race to Democrat Al Franken, with just 37 percent supporting further appeals. And 59 percent said they want Gov. Tim Pawlenty to sign the certificate declaring Franken the winner.
With the ruling of the three judge panel it appears that most Minnesota voters are now ready for this election be over, said Public Policy Polling pollster Dean Debnam.
Folks seem to think that Franken is the rightful winner and that he should be allowed to take his seat instead of the process being dragged out further.
That is because the local media is not telling the truth about the election.
There’s a reason we hold actual elections and have actual voters actually vote.
Instead of having “opinion polls” run by folks with an agenda...
This was a shameful election! The idea that he should give up is beyond belief. I certainly hope that this and other like elections get some scrutiny. It seems to me that more of our elections are becoming “third world” worthy.
Do you think Norm Coleman should appeal the decision and continue to fight in court or should Coleman concede the race?
. . .Should Franken be seated immediately or should the seat remain vacant?
Seat Franken Immediately 59%
Leave Seat Vacant 41%
Some people say that Republicans are funding the Coleman legal suit to keep the Minnesota seat vacant and slow down the Obama agenda. Do you agree or disagree with that statement?
In order for Al Franken to be seated as a U.S. Senator, Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty must sign a form certifying Al Franken as the winner. Do you think Governor Pawlenty should sign the form certifying Al Franken?
In the US Senate election last fall, who did you vote for?
Didn't Vote/Don't Remember 5%
Coleman needs to punch it up in the court of public opinion, not just the Minnesota Supreme Court. Poll details are here.
Disgusting that we can send rockets to solar planets but can’t count votes accurately.
That’s the way libtards do things. They lie and make stuff up.
The headline is probably correct as it stands. All it takes is two residents of Minnesota desiring that Coleman concede to make the title correct.
If Franken is allowed to manipulate his way into a senate seat, then we are doomed. What's stopping the left from doing this same thing, over and over again. Where's the outrage from the right? This robbery of Coleman is barely mentioned. This whole thing has been very quietly orchestrated by Franken, and his band of thieves. The right should have fought this with everything they had. Instead they handed it to Franken on a silver platter.
either one would work for me.
