Obama's NSA eavesdropping goes beyond that of Bush!

I have been reading the many different articles today on the NSA's eavesdropping activity.

It's appalling, to me, that the occupier of the White House would allow such a practice to continue, especially after campaigning on the promise of: No warrantless wiretaps if you elect me!"

Now, since being elected, by hiding his Birth Certificate and lying in nearly everything he promised, he proves himself the Socialist and liar that he truly is.

0bama has steadfastly defended President Bush's wiretapping program, and, in fact, 0bama has increased the wiretaps! All the while staking claim to his own brand new cry of State Secrets.

Today's headlines read: NSA Exceeds Legal Limits In Eavesdropping Program , and U.S. phone intercepts go beyond legal limits , and NSA Found Improperly Spying on Americans.

Ok, I didn’t see that there was more to the story past the pictures and the caption “Related Stories”. So, now I’ve read it, all 4 pages.

I think it’s blown out of proportion, they admit that they cannot confirm much of it, and the calls are coming from overseas.

But, you fail to mention that...”Some times, Kinne and Faulk said, the intercepts helped identify possible terror planning in Iraq and saved American lives. “ So, we have some folks who say they had a laugh or two at the expensive of an unknowing person, and also say that those sessions helped to save American lives.

Still, my point is, Bush didn’t tap anyone for personal reasons, and this article doesn’t prove, or even allege, that Bush did. I do not trust 0bama will adhere to the same principles. In fact, the opposite is true.

I don’t think your contention that we Conservatives are being selective is a fair statement.

Bush alleged his improper tapping was inadvertent. I believe him.
Bush claimed that tapping callas coming from overseas is legal. I believe him, and the courts have held that to be true.
Bush claimed that Soldiers have no expectation to privacy in the context of performing their duties. I believe him, and the courts have held that to be true, as well. BTW, while serving in a theater of operations, you are on duty 24X7.

I have criticized Bush on many of his shortcomings, most especially TIA/Patriot Act/DHS, but I won’t jump on the bandwagon of populism. He gets the benefit of doubt because he has proven himself a loyal Patriot, regardless of his C/RINOness, 0bama has not.

Still, my point is, Bush didn’t tap anyone for personal reasons,

The story provided eyewitness evidence about the phone sex tapping (which you reject) but you seem to take it on faith that George Bush can be trusted not to tap calls. Why? WDid you also think TARP, the greatest leap to socialism in generations, was the act of a trustworthy man? This zealous support that George Bush, one of the socialist presidents in memory, gets here is really quite remarkable. If the tea-bag movement takes this selective approach, it is doomed to fail and be dismissed as nothing more than a cynical RNC front.

IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Justice Department confirmed Wednesday that it had reined in the NSA's wiretapping activities in the United States after learning that the agency had improperly accessed American phone calls and e-mails while eavesdropping on foreign communications.

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat, said the committee will hold a hearing within a month to look at the NSA's surveillance activities. "We will make sure we get the facts," she said. ( We will make sure to cover up the facts, more like.)

FASCISM, A little bit at a time. This surpasses ANYTHING that Bush had approved, and Obama was complicit, he should be impeached.Nixon was forced to resign for FAR LESS.

Where did the domestic intercept intel. go and why???? Since it was unauthoriced, it cannot be privileged or secret information denied to the public or to the courts as authorized NSA intercepts are.

Where is Senator Leahy now ..Eh???????

Interesting rationalization to shut off dialogue. when you want to open up your mind, look me up and I'd be happy to have a give and take discussion. On the other hand, if you are looking for someone to march in lockstep for GWB, you probably need to contact Sean Hannnity.

This should come as no surprise, though it is appalling. The Obama administration sees us, you and I and our families, as his enemies. He views us with contempt and seeks to undo everything we hold dear. He wants power and his screaming, uneducated, militant masses are handing it to him. He will use every means at his disposal, legal and illegal. He has no regard for the Constitution and has proven it in fewer than 100 days in office.

By the way, we should all recognize that “right wing extremist” is just code for white people. Pure and simple. It’s an ugly concept, but these are ugly times.
