Is this the new politics Barack Obama promised to bring to Washington? His hand-picked DNC Chairman just went on national TV and claimed the Obama administration never requested Georgetown to cover up the IHS monogram representing the name of Christ. Confronted with a CNSNews.com article flatly reporting that such a request had indeed been made, Tim Kaine resorted to the hoary dodge of claiming he hadn't seen the story. Adding insult to injury, Kaine even claimed to be ignorant of CNSNews.com itself, NewsBusters' sister organization.
Kaine made his credulity-busting claims during a Morning Joe appearance today.

That's the heart of the problem. I do think obama sees himself in a messianic role, and he does contribute to the problem -- but he's not the entire problem.
If Hulk Hogan spoke at Georgetown, the press would not go out of their way to photograph him with IHS over his head. It wouldn't be funny, or moving, it would just be an awkward picture.
If Ronald Reagan were at Georgetown, the press would carefully avoid photographing him with IHS over his head, because they wouldn't want to imply any sort of compliment.
If Obama spoke at Georgetown, every photographer in the place would be trying to get the perfect shot of The One with IHS over hsi head.
But I do not believe that Obama covered up the symbol so that the media could not mis-use it. I believe Obama covered up the symbol because he doesn't like the competition. I don't really think the "damned if you do, damned if you don't" thing applies. Obama and his sycophantic followers have worked hard to create this situation -- they cannot now claim to be stuck in a "lose-lose" situation.

Give me a break! Speak at a religious university and you expect to have religious symbols where you are speaking. You can solve the problem but not speaking there — end of story.
It shows that ZERO has the power to request anything and some stupid people comply instead of telling him to take it elsewhere as they are not covering up the symbols. That backdrop with so many flags is tacky. Makes you wonder about anyone that feels the need to have so many flags as the backdrop. Everything is a photo op but that happens when you have no core values.

Disagree; and think one only has to look at Obama's MO of 'freeriding' on Christian metaphors/symbols so as to empower his own image. Obama wanted the 'celestial props' behind him; but clearly, did not want to share the 'logo' - 'authorship' below. It works for his 'messiah mo' he so invites; and works for his latest 'rock' metaphor he has introduced this week; per where America puts it 'hopes'; which he used again in his speech here.
Obama knows the power of symbols; and he wanted that celestial scene above him. . .and he wanted no competition below it. Let's not forget Obama's introducing his own 'logo'; his removal of flag; replacing it with his own Obama stylized symbol.
The question could be asked why he chose this venue/location to begin with. But it is easy to see the 'appeal' here for the 'ONE'.
If it were NOT for Obama's past; and ongoing efforts; would choose the less damning version here; but such is not the case, Obama himself, presents.
(Personally think as well; that Obama, when making 'Presidential'; does not want to offend those who call him their 'own'. . .i.e. the Muslim community, throughout the world.
