Saw it on U-Tube. It did my heart good to see the expressions on the faces of the judges and the audience who were sneering at poor Susan before she opened her mouth Then. ....She literally knocked them dead! Wooo Hooo! You go, Susan Boyle!

Funny you mention that. I wondered the same so I tracked it down on YouTube. Whoopi gives a "dirty look" to Joy Behar, who makes some obnoxious and unkind remarks about Susan's appearance. To her credit, Whoopi comes off well here. Miss Behar. Here's the clip:

Behar doesn’t have room to talk.
Many times, the only one laughing at her jokes are Behar, herself.
Joy Behar is an idiot.
The truth is that many of these painted up, plastic surgeried up, bleached blonded up, expensively dressed, bulimic “glamourized” Britney Spears/Paris Hilton knockoffs know that when they’re behind closed doors and if their facade suddenly fell off, they would not look one whit better than Miss Boyle did physically - and not nearly as good as she did in the inner man. Age, and life, happens to all and will happen to them.
No makeover could improve Behar. She’s ugly from the inside out, and talentless to boot IMO.

The jaded cynic in me was wondering about this from the start.
How much of this is “real” and how much of this was choreographed for the ratings.
Simon is a brilliant business man and knows precisely how to manipulate this stuff.
Even so - the lady sure can sing.
Reality and TV rarely go together.
yeah...it wasn’t just the professional quality of her voice, but how she handled the mike - the volume of her voice - the stage presence.
She was completely comfortable on that stage. She OWNED the stage.
Hope is the greatest force in the universe. There is no such thing as false hope—for hope inspires greatness. How else could a Young United States win out over England? How else could this one woman be so talented? From the least of you shall come the greatest. The stone that was rejected shall be the keystone of the new edifice. There is hope that that fools who think they are in charge will be humbled and confounded.
