PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago -- What's the difference between "recovered" and "traceable" when it comes to firearms seized in Mexico's bloody war against drug cartels?
The White House says none.
But that's a distinction with a difference, even if President Obama used the words interchangeably last week to talk about the role firearms smuggled from the U.S. play in Mexico's stepped up fight against entrenched, well-armed drug cartels.
"This war is being waged with guns purchased not here, but in the United States. More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that line our shared border," the president said on the subject in his joint press conference with Mexican President Felipe Calderon on Thursday:

He’s getting ready for an end around. He won’t dare try to take our guns away, but he will limit production. Sure, you can own a gun, you just can’t manufacture one. Believe me, he’s setting up to go after gun manufacturers.

About 80% of the guns in Mexico go North into Mexico via Central America. Now, they may be American-made gun, but they were not sold out of gun shops, but through government sponsored sales to other countries.

Golly. I can certainly understand how "to some it might sound as if Obama is saying" thus and such when that is exactly what little Barry said!
However, he being a communist that calls himself a democrat I am reasonably certain that he will play the "meaning of is, is" game, which apparently he is, if that is what is means, or something like that... I guess.
Who could possibly know what they really mean when word games are the standard excuse for getting caught in a lie which was based in Orwellian newspeak, which was selected because it promoted the push to communism which is referred to by the communist democrats as "progressive" or other such nonsense or meaningless terms.
Now the really funny part of this is the commies will in almost every instance get so wound up in the morass of their own BS/lies/Orwellian newspeak that they become confused and spill the beans on their true agenda, communism.

obama is a serial liar. He lies without hesitation to make his point. He lies when there's no reason to lie and he lies when it's easier not to. Right now most of his supporters still believe everything he says...that's going to change. Sooner or later he's going to tell a lie so big and in your face that everybody will see through it. Just a matter of time. Right now it's still all about what obama says. People give him credit for solving a problem just because he says there's a problem. We'll see how long this lasts...it can;t go on forever.

Neither would I but that's hardly the point is it. The cartels do not stand up to the army and police with handguns. They have fully automatic AK47's and the like, which they do not buy in the US. Even if they were available here, why should they? They can get them cheaper from their socialist friends elsewhere.
All this drivel is not about the Mexican drug cartels anyway. It is about domestic guncontrol and eventual confiscation. I sincerely hope no one has forgotten that Obama is committed to disarming the citizenry, and he is right now setting the stage to do it through the back door of 'domestic security.'
That is funny coming from a liar who no knowledge of firearms has never fired a gun to keep repeating this lie.
