Darwin--Unwittingly a "Creationist"
Answers Magazine ^ | Jason Lisle, Ph.D.

Posted on 04/19/2009 8:00:09 AM PDT by GodGunsGuts

Evolutionists often attempt to use observational science—arguments from biology, paleontology, geology, or even astronomy—to support their belief. But the really interesting thing is that they base all their arguments on principles that ultimately come from biblical creation! As strange as it may sound, evolutionists must unwittingly assume that creation is true in order to argue against it. That means that Darwin was (in a sense) a “creationist.” All evolutionists must borrow the principles of biblical creation in order to do science (even though they would deny this). Here is why...

Darwin was a Christian not an atheist, Its you creationists that claim he was an atheist (with all scientists) and then claim he contradicts himself by having God based principles. Unfortunately to those that only read creationist sources like this, they see no contradiction because all they know is your straw man.

“If this world were nothing but a cosmic accident, if our brains were nothing but rearranged pond scum, then why would they be able to understand the universe?”

Most people fit into the “rearranged pond scum” category, don’t they? I mean, who just got elected president of the U.S.?

You’d think that an all-knowing, omnipotent god would do better.

Darwin was more of an agnostic, especially later in life.

The author’s arguments apply just as well to any creation myth as they do to the Bible. I guess that means Darwin was an unwitting Zoroastrian, too.

We get the government we deserve.
Who has been dumbing down the education in this country?
In the begining there was “right” and “wrong”, and we have been compromising in the “wrong” direction ever since.
Are you expecting continued blessings from a God, Who has watched us defy his teachings, written on our heart?

I’m just saying that the left in this country has not shown itself to have risen above the level of pond scum, contrary to the claims of the article.

To do [astrology], certain things must be true. The universe must be logical and have some organization to it. Moreover, the human mind must be capable of rational thought—capable of considering the various alternatives and then choosing the best

[[You’d think that an all-knowing, omnipotent god would do better.]]

He does- it’s fitting into the ‘beginning of the end’ plan just fine- God raises up whom He will for His own purposes which are often beyond our comprehension- however, the end times will usher in fear, then calm as the ‘one world government’ ‘offers a solution’- then hwam! Just when everyone htinks everyhtign is solved, and all is well- the antiChrist will do what he was designed to do- and the end will be near- We’re in an economicly fearful position the world over now, and what do we see? Yup- Obama turnign to the un for help, and spending liek a drunken sailor on shore leave- plunging us further into future crisis- enacting all manner of ‘climate change’ taxes, mandating that auro companies spend billions upgrading hteir factories to produce ‘eco-friendly’ autos, cries of ‘climate crisis’ all over the world- etc- all leading to an economic crisis which the ‘one world government’ will have to ‘solve’

This may or may not be the end times, but it sure is following along very closely with the scenario the bible prophesied about- If so- then God has rasied up who He willed, and there’s really nothign we can do about it-

By the way- these bad times are upon us because of our rejction of God, and was prophesied of in the bible as well- We are beyond repentance- we have turned our backs on the very God that raised up our tiny naiton to be oen of hte most powerful forces in all the world- We were ungrateful, and we’ll reap what we have sown- and obama is just a tool of that reaping

When we had far worse times such as the Great Depression, was that because of our rejection of God? Just curious.

I know! The Darwiniacs don’t even realize that they have to assume creation in order to argue against creation...LOL!!!

“When Charles Darwin first explained the matter, many people either wouldn’t or couldn’t grasp it. I myself flatly refused to believe Darwin’s theory when I first heard about it as a child. Almost everybody throughout history, up to the second half of the nineteenth century, has firmly believed in the opposite - the Conscious Designer theory. Many people still do, perhaps because the true, Darwinian explanation of our own existence is still, remarkably, not a routine part of the curriculum of a general education. It is certainly very widely misunderstood.” ~ Richard Dawkins

I agree it is very sad when people mock what the do not understand.

Darwin lost his faith, if indeed he ever had faith, long before the publication of Origins.

To do science, certain things must be true. The universe must be logical and have some organization to it. Moreover, the human mind must be capable of rational thought—capable of considering the various alternatives and then choosing the best. But if evolution were true, then we would have no reason to expect either of these conditions.

What? Young earth creationists argue constantly that the "assumption of uniformity" is precisely where "evolutionists" go awry. Until today, I guess.

Sadder still when peopel beleive that a process which is a biologically, mathematically, chemically and natural impossible act was ‘done by nature’- but who are we to argue with people’s right to beleive whatever they want?
