No doubt there were folks discretely armed ~ no idea who they were, but they didn't shoot anyone, nor set off any bombs, nor design bombs so bad they blew up girlfriends and boyfriends.

That's something you can't about Obama's friends. Little Billy Ayers blew up bombs. He's still around. He's a domestic terrorist.

I think DHS should keep their eyes on everybody Obama knows. They are very dangerous people.

"As a strictly mental exercise, can you imagine the panic that would ensue if the tea partiers were to show up armed?"

Huh? Of course we went armed. What's the big deal?

No audio. But plenty of disturbing comments on the transcript.

SMITH: Is there a timetable to go after assault weapons?

AXELROD: Well, you know, we’ll monitor the issue. And if there’s a consensus, we’ll move on it.

But, Harry, as you know, we’re faced with an enormous array of challenges. And we need to make some choices as to which to pursue first.

I personally think this and the DHS report are tests to see if we will stick to our guns, pun intended. This administration, with all its intellectual vigor (Ostinko is, after all, a constitutional lawyer) knows they can’t pull this off. I think (I hope) they are just trying to intimidate us with threats, Chicagoland style. I believe our response should be another tea party, even sooner than July 4th. I think we should bite our thumbs at them and take their duel challenge. Bring it on.

The "administration" declares dissent "unhealthy."

Oh, you hadn't seen the memo? Yeah, came out about Jan 20th, something about dissent now being unpatriotic.

This was EXACTLY the words and thinking of General Wojchiech Jaruzelski, of COMMUNIST POLAND, in criticizing the growing grassroots SOLIDARNOSC Freedom movement of Lech Waleswa in the late 1970s, arising out of Gdansk, Nova Huta, and every little town and village across Poland. Here is what is instructive: The state-run, state censored Communist media response was to ignore, then ridicule; the Communist Polish Government spokespeople's response was to call it "potentially dangerous".

Axelrod (and the boss he works for) are OUR Generals Jaruzelksi.

Be afraid, Generals. Be very afraid.

You are having your "First 100 Days". The American People, the TAXPAYERS of this nation, will have THEIRS, too. The Tea Parties are just the beginning, the beginning of a non-violent MASSIVE UPRISING that is going to force you from power, or at the least, reign you in until you fully comprehend who your true Masters are.

Yea!He should know about stoking militia fears. With everything this Present Liberal/Socialist administration is doing to destroy our rights guaranteed under the Constitution.I foresee resistance coming soon and armed resistance if the government should happen to push things too far.

The Ft. Lauderdale Tea Party RECEIVED a bomb threat - supposedly a bomb was placed under a car in the parking garage adjacent to federal courthouse where the gathering took place. Bomb squad was there, the area was roped off over an hour while they checked all the cars by robot.

This was not reported by the media.

When they see those massive, peaceful crowds that they ALL watch on TV despite their denials, that is what really bothers the crap out of them.

They see all the placards and American flags and tea bags, --but we must always remember, based on the beauty of our blessed Second Ammendment, what they truly envision--which will give them nightmares in their Georgetown townhouses at night--is what is back home with all those American, pissed-off masses (and in the trucks and cars of some of them in some states). This is truly screwing with their minds. I can sense it. This ain't rocket science. Heck, the big man himself in the campaign in a moment of extreme candor (the Japanese would say, "his 本音 momentarily slipped out") even expressed his elitist position of disgust and disdain about Middle America at that liberal cocktail party in San Francisco that was not supposed to be recorded--so Axelrod is no surprise.

I disagree. Everything they have done so far is right down the line from the communist play-book. They know they have Constitutional impediments to their agenda, which is why everything they have done was ramrodded through in a hurry in order to “take advantage of a good crisis”. The DHS bull crap, the “Mexican gun crisis”, all of it points to a build up of creating an artificial crises to excuse their Unconstitutional incremental disarmament of opponents.
Half of Americans are either asleep or nitwits or they'd already be insurrections in the streets over what has already been done. The only reason they aren't is because most of them are too stupid to comprehend the effects of the Porkulus and Budget bills, which by no coincidence has most of the more objectionable items not coming on line until after the mid term election cycle next year.
All the constant publicity of shootings are not a coincidence, it's a conspiracy.

Every smiling handshake with a Communist dictator who represses freedoms like HE wants to repress them, every unresponded-to Communist ICBM launched as a test at US territory and over allies’ very soil, every new bailout and tax, ratchets it up one notch. They have no CONCEPT of how they are urinating in the wind here—and at a stunning pace I might add.

Isn’t there some hope in the judicial branch? I mean one lawsuit was already filed over the constitutionality of the DHS thing. But the court still leans toward strict interpretation of the constitution, does it not? (Recalling the recent DC gun control ruling)

No doubt someone in the local media was complicit in making the bomb report, or, if a bomb was actually made, placing the bomb under a car somewhere.

"Newsies" really can't be trusted. They are going out of business fast. A long period of unemployment looms for all of them.

They know who their "class enemy" is.

This administration displays utter arrogance at free citizens exercising their First Amendment rights. I guess dissent as the highest form of patriotism only applies to Republican presidents.

if the tea partiers were to show up armed?

One of the signs at my local Tea Party read, "We came unarmed...THIS TIME!"
