we already have legal avenues. I know someone who was illegal who went back to Mexico and was back in a few months all legal.

It is constant I get a google report and it is loaded every day and some of it is so bad you can barely stand to browse through it. I suppose it will be that way until they have all the remaining damage inflicted or we stop them somehow.

Of course, I believe in a program that will lead to self-deportation:

• Anyone in the country has six months from today to get out of the country. Anyone caught after that period will be deported with no further opportunity to ever enter the country again, legally or otherwise.
• Heavy fines for any employer found to have hired illegal workers. Each subsequent offense brings an increased fine.
• Emergency care will be provided to illegal aliens. Once treatment is completed, they will be turned over to ICE and deported, with a bill for the care sent to the Mexican government.
• No benefits will be accessible to illegals. This includes public education.
• End of the anchor baby nonsense. If you are born on US soil to illegal immigrant parents, you are an illegal immigrant yourself.
• No property shall be owned by an illegal immigrant. If you have managed to purchase a house, you forfeit it and any other land you may have purchased.

That's a start. I'm sure other measures could be taken, including a Duncan Hunter-approved border fence.

Overall, illegal immigrants’ children account for one of every 15 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. In 2008, California had the most illegal immigrants at 2.7 million, double its 1990 number, followed by Texas, Florida, New York and New Jersey.

“In the next eight years, the violent collection of criminal drug cartels could overwhelm the state and establish de facto control over broad regions of northern Mexico,” McCaffrey’s report said. “A failure by the Mexican political system to curtail lawlessness and violence could result in a surge of millions of refugees crossing the U.S. border.”
