Hilton says contestant a "dumb bitch"

I thought this is a sexist and misogynist thing to say. I guess homosexual men are a protected class of individual and allowed to use such terms.

“It upsets me that people think what I’m doing is a bad thing,” Lavandeira told Access Hollywood. “I don’t think it’s a bad thing. If you know something to be a fact, why not report it? Why is that still taboo?”

The media was not nearly as supportive of those requesting to see Barack Obama's birth certificate (not certificate of live birth, no signatures, no nothing, modern document).

Because of her portrayal of a lesbian in Set It Off and her avoidance of discussing her romantic life, tabloid media have at times speculated on her sexual orientation. Latifah responded to these rumors in her autobiography by saying: “It’s insulting when someone asks, ‘Are you gay?’ A woman cannot be strong, outspoken, competent at running her own business, handle herself physically, play a very convincing role in a movie, know what she wants—and go for it—without being gay? Come on.”

The rumors about her sexuality escalated further in late 2007, when Media Take Out reported an allegedly planned wedding ceremony between Latifah and her personal trainer of four years Jeanette Jenkins upon California’s legalization of gay marriage. Latifah publicly denied this claim in October 2008, proclaiming “I don’t feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not. Assume whatever you want. You do it anyway. People will make up all sorts of things that are not true. There ain’t gonna’ be no wedding.”

So, the Miss California committee has expressed 'regret' over her comments...

considering California voters have reject gay marriage two or three times already, seems like Miss California represents the majority opinion in the state. What on earth is the appology for? If anything, Miss California may have a civil rights suit against the Miss USA pagent considering Perez's comments.

It was a SOLID, polite, sensitive answer from a beautiful woman. Those lesbos are just mad she’ll never be in their bed.

Miss California’s answer was by far the best answer given. Miss Arizon’s answer was almost as bad as Miss Teen South Carolina’s from a couple years ago, and she got 3rd place. If the results were close enough and considering Perez’s crude and bigotted commments, I would think a lawsuit could win. Miss USA might as well put up a sign that ‘Christians need not apply’

"How can this guy be a judge."

I realize your question applies only to this person and this pageant, but it's indicative of the pervasive rot that is destroying America.

This is just an inconsequential contest in the scope of things, but how many judges and other persons with real power throughout our system, who hold views like his, significantly affect the outcome of events in our lives, and with more boldness and success than could have happened even a few decades ago?

Just because you disagree with a viewpoint, it is not a reason to degrade a contestants answer.

He's a silly little faggot, that's why.

Easily millions. There are professors who will not write letters of recommendations for students who hold creationist viewpoints. There is no way any openly conservative could get hired by any MSM outlet. Hollywood has a huge anti-conservative black list. The bigotry against Biblical viewpoints is real and it is massive. Gays are not discriminated against unless they want to become a Catholic Priest or something that is clearly against their beliefs anyways.

” I miss the days when Bob Barker was host and these things were schmaltzy and kind of silly.”

When things were like that back then, life was fun and it had a charm to it. You could be considered smart without having to be sarcastic and bitter all the time. They made fun of pageant girls, but there was no malice.

These days a lot of these entertainment people feel they have to be like Simon Calwell. Now it’s all falling apart and i am so sick of these members of what I refer to as the press class and their bitter nastiness.

She should be careful, or they’ll say she is committing hate speech. How dare she deny she is a homosexual, that’s so judgmental.

I’ll say this to both Perez and that metrosexual from Newsweek who is upset that he is a father-—good God man, grow some balls-I know gay men who are more manly than these two!

This man should be banned from any such event and anyone who put him in that slot should be fired.

How DARE she not recite the politically correct answer! It is bad enough that she thinks that marriage should be between a man and a woman, but to say it out loud? Is she so stupid that she actually thinks that freedom of speech applies to anyone besides liberals?

Send her off to a re-education camp!
