Fatties cause global warming
The Sun ^ | 04/21/2009 | Ben Jackson

THE rising number of fat people was yesterday blamed for global warming.

Scientists warned that the increase in big-eaters means more food production — a major cause of CO2 gas emissions warming the planet.

Overweight people are also more likely to drive, adding to environmental damage.

Lard help us ... overweight must eat less for planet

Dr Phil Edwards, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said: “Moving about in a heavy body is like driving in a gas guzzler.”

Each fat person is said to be responsible for emitting a tonne more of climate-warming carbon dioxide per year than a thin one.

It means an extra BILLION TONNES of CO2 a year is created, according to World Health Organisation estimates of overweight people.

The scientists say providing extra grub for them to guzzle adds to carbon emissions that heat up the world, melting polar ice caps, raising sea levels and killing rain forests.

The environmental impact of fat humans is made even worse because they are more likely to travel by car — another major cause of carbon emissions.

So letting other people starve in parts of the world where there is famine is sorta like “carbon-offsets?”

I know this sounds crazy, but mark my words - The EPA will use this to start coming after fat people. (No offense to fat people - I am a fat guy myself.)—JM

Be prepared for food rationing.

I am not sure about that, but I do believe that they are going to require you to be within normal weight limits in the next 15 years...maybe 20. I am not exactly sure what the punishment will be if you are not in “standards” but I sincerely believe they will do this. The military does this (yes different than civilian) but I think they will adopt this for the general population.

OK - I ain’t nowhere near that fat. I’m 5’11” and go 235 - but the Doc says he’s not concerned, just back off the trough a little. How does a person get that fat? There has to be some kind of physical/mental problem.

Thats’s it!

The other day I went to bed a PATRIOT and woke up a right wing terrorist wanna-be.

Now I finish my lunch to find out I am the cause of their phoney global warming!

I also have to be offended by being called a teabagging idiot!

The personal attacks are coming so furiously that I can not find time to research the Socialist actions of the administration.

I wonder, could that be a planned distraction. LOL

Hope your day is full of laughter too.

Fired up my big old Texas pit smoker BBQ this weekend and did the first brisket of the season. Happy to do anything I can to help warm up the planet.

But I bet there’s some down environmental side to all the exercise needed to lose weight, along with the dieting. If you just rest on a couch all day, you wouldn’t be emitting as much carbon dioxide, would you?

What to do, what to do.

Senators and Congress-critters are getting FAT...
and...since they are full of hot air carbon emissions, you get twice the cause of global warming.

Pot, meet kettle. (Yes, Rush was doing pretty good there for awhile, when Marta had him on a diet)

>>down environmental side to all the exercise needed

Think how much pollution would not be emitted if all the treadmills, stairmasters and steppers were turned OFF.

Not to mention the power requirements of health clubs, their lights, stereos, showers etc etc.

Al Gore needs to lose some weight.

It wouldn't hurt Jerry Nadler (D-NY) to lose a few pounds, either.

Actually obesity is a cause of global warming, but not for the reason given. (i don't believe in AGW, but stick with me for a second).

Humans are endothermic, right? that means we have to produce heat. The more weight you have, the more heat is required to maintain 98.6 temperature. So obesity requires more heat production, which heat is eventually given off to the atmosphere, producing a (miniscule on a micro scale) increase in the total heat budget of the planet.

Next they will find something wrong with skinny people. Just you wait. Madness is taking over. Teddy Kennedy is pretty fat, we can weigh him & tax his pounds along with the other fat cats of DC. Shaking my head some more....

You know, I'm a big guy. Quite a bit bigger than I need to be in fact.

But as a matter of choice, I live a fairly spartan life. I don't drive back and forth to the mall to buy the newest thing, or pop down to the charbucks for a crapifrapichino on a daily basis. Truth be told, I probably live much closer to the idiotic ideal of “carbon neutered”* than 99% of these fools who are whining about the width of my ass.

I grow much of my own food, compost food and yard waste, ride a fairly efficient Honda motorcycle in season to do errands and for work and enjoy seeing just how long I can go before having to waste money on a new item if the old one is still even marginally serviceable. Must come from being part frugal Scot.

So when you bastards with your toilet paper doctorates and your asinine studies start saying my existence is making the world hotter by increasing the CO2 content of the air, I say you're more of a threat to mankind than I shall ever be, you g*d damned nannies are spewing more hot air than any 10 people my size.

In other words “dr.” edwards, piss of you stinking limey bastard.

Wait until the moron finds out that in the USA the people who are the fattest are; blacks, hispanics and lower income.
