As I read this, it seems to describe a nuclear attack and the attempts to defend against it.
Laying on face, head toward blast, arms tucked beneath is how soldiers are taught to react to a nuclear burst.
Burned at distance, blinded, and the great exhale and inhale are the thermal and blast effects of a nuke weapon.
Where did this come from? When was it written?

I was a bit worried that it was some obscure prophecy from the apocrypha or something.

Just a delusional vision, I am sure.
I suspect since the rabbis don’t recognize New Testament prophecy, they don’t see it as hastening Armegeddon. they see it as ushering in the reign of Messiah. Then again, Christian pastors that support the Red Heifer search likely see it as hastening the return of Christ, recognizing that Armegeddon is an unavoidable consequence of Christ’s return. JMO.

I have a “beef” (pun intended) with Christian groups who are supporting this. God’s time is not our time. We cannot rush Christ’s return. He will return when he returns. Armageddon will not be pretty.
Although, the signs are getting more and more clear every day.

Feiglin is way unlikely to be PM, but we do know that the temple WILL be rebuilt, and yes, virtually every pre-tribber I know believes that the rebuilding of the temple will almost certainly be inextricably linked to the endtimes.
My personal belief is that this is the most plausible scenario: In the immediate aftermath of the Rapture, AntiChrist will emerge as the great world leader who's going to restore order and peace out of the post-Rapture chaos. And one of his first acts, probably the seminal act that positively identifies him as AntiChrist, will be the negotiation of a peace treaty between Israel and her enemies, a treaty that will include Israel's right to rebuild the temple. This will be the beginning of the seven years of tribulation, during which God's judgments will be poured out on the earth, beginning with the seal judgments.
That's just my personal take, but I believe it to be a plausible scenario.

Not saying it will necessarily be him but the temple will be rebuilt. God says so.
