PHOENIX Minuteman founder Chris Simcox announced his bid for U.S. Senate against John McCain Wednesday, blaming the senator for deaths caused from violence on the Mexican border and promising a national campaign to unseat the four-term incumbent.
We have the ability to run a national campaign as well as a state campaign, Simcox said outside the Arizona state Capitol. There are millions of supporters around the country who have been waiting for some leadership in Washington to take on this border security issue.
Simcox who as president of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps has toured the country blamed McCain Wednesday for being soft on immigration.
He is fully responsible for the deaths along our borders, the raging violence in Mexico and the violence that we have in the streets of U.S. cities from border to border coast to coast, Simcox said.

Great grassroots candidate! Every day guys are what we need! No more career RINO’s.
Note to Chris Simcox: There’s a certain governor up north that you could ask to endorse and campaign for you....
I doubt Simcox will have much difficulty raising money. It’ll be interesting to see the sort of campaign Juan runs against a conservative. I wonder if he’ll endorse Simcox the way he did Hussein??!!
BUMP
It’s good to pin illegals’ crimes on McCain and Meagan.
If Palin endorsed and campaigned on behalf of Simcox, it might put to rest that idiotic and McCainian interview she gave to Univision last summer.
“If Palin endorsed and campaigned on behalf of Simcox, “
It would destroy the rest of her career. Better check our memories on Simcox, because McCain/the left certainly will. there HAS to be a better candidate.
I hope McCain is wearing dark pants cause if that happened he would soil himself.
I don’t think she is gonna get involved. I don’t think she wants any part of it.
We know that you are a Sanfordista and smell a chance to set up Palin.
You know very well that the chances that she will endorse the opponent of McCain are around zero. You want to frame this as the make or break point.
She certainly will not step forward vocally against the guy who brought her to the national scene.
Simcox has my sympathy and I pray that he will unseat McCain, but to make this about Palin is silly.
Yes and the Carnage through out the rest of the country by MQueegs Wee ones or Gods Children..He is plenty responsible and should be made to PAY $$$$$$$$.
. I wonder if hell endorse Simcox the way he did Hussein??!!”
...this would be a fight for Juan’s political life and relevance. He’d retire if he loses.
Yeah no more from the ivy league either. They all suck.
He might run as an independent, like Lieberman.
Must...stay...off...Palin...threads...I...promised..
Oh, wait, this is a McStoopid thread.
No!...Must...not...leave...Palin...comments...
You have our empathy for your severe Palin-Derangement-Syndrome affliction. It most be a terrible suffering.
If your reference is to Palin, she would not endorse him. She is *for* "Comprehensive Immigration Reform".
He would do better looking to the Reaganites, and to Duncan Hunter specifically. And so would you.
LOL!!!\
He and other Republicans and Democrats who supported the invasion of our Nation are responsible for all the economic, environmental and social destruction that has come with it. Maybe now that the violence and death has esclated with the drug lords, the voters will finally boot Traitor McCain.
The invasion is another gift of destruction given to the American people by Wall Street special interests.
Link doesn’t work.
MaggieCarta would prefer a Conservative. So would I.
MaggieCarta prefers Mitt Romney. If you think Mitt is a “Conservative” you need to get help.
You know, you should ping people when you talk about them.
Fascinating.
It should be.
You don’t think it’s a bit silly to ping five other Freepers for “backup”, only to “admonish” me to ping everytime I mention another Freeper?
I don’t know much about Simcox other than than his affiliation with the Minutemen. I am excited to see what appears to be a conservative primary challenger for McCain. All that said, while the border issue is very important, Simcox still needs to make sure he’s not a ‘one note samba’. There are other issues Senators are expected to be aware of and have thoughts on. He also needs to guard against the MSM defining him as a ‘one note samba’ as they will surely try to do.
Why would it be silly?
You talked about MaggieCarta, so I pinged MaggieCarta.
You also mentioned Mitt Romney, so I pinged Mitt Romney.
And, since your reply was to roamer_1, I sent roamer_1 a copy too.
As for calcowgirl and indylindy, I thought they might be amused by your lack of situational awareness with regard to Freeper etiquette. Irrespective, those two had already been pinged to this thread earlier for reasons unrelated to our interactions here and thus would likely have stumbled upon these posts at some point or another.
only to admonish me to ping everytime I mention another Freeper?
Pinging other Freepers you talk about is considered good manners.
Because it's petty and you know it.
Etiquette? Great. Pettiness... not so much.
BTW Mitt Romney is a Freeper?
Nah... it was to laugh at ya, I think. ;-)
Hope you enjoyed it. Poor kind of humor.
No more bureaucrats!
If we're going to have a government by the People, of the People and for the People, we need to make sure that those are the kinds of People that get in office.
Yes, yes, I most certainly would.
All I'm saying here is that I think that someone has to step up to the plate and take on Zero. I applaud Gov Romney's efforts in this regard.
Sheesh -- lighten up and get a sense of humor!
He also needs to guard against the MSM defining him as a one note samba as they will surely try to do.
Agreed.
Rabs,
Are you ready with the op-research for Simcox? It’s time for them to get the BEST OF THE MCCAIN TRUTH FILE!
Go Simcox Go! Please eradicate McLame and his dreadful daughter from the GOP, Senate and any power whatsover A.S.A.P.
I can't do much for the next two weeks, but after that, all hell will break loose...and then, McCain will be kicked out of the Senate.
I don't think Palin is a Conservative. But she is admittedly to the right of Romney. That is not saying much, however.
I know that.
All I'm saying here is that I think that someone has to step up to the plate and take on Zero. I applaud Gov Romney's efforts in this regard.
I agree. But lest others here would somehow convict me of being in favor of Romney, I believe his motive is not due to any particular principle, but more of a Clinton-ish "triangulation", positioning himself for votes.
Regards.
