Posted on 04/23/2009 11:23:54 AM PDT by Nachum
Porter Goss, former CIA Director and past chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, blasted the Obama administration for releasing Justice Department memos on harsh interrogation techniques. For the first time in my experience weve crossed the red line of properly protecting our national security in order to gain partisan political advantage, Goss said in an interview.

democRats will betray their country for personal gain every time they’re given the opportunity.
Bambi knows what he is doing! He is doing it deliberately! It is TREASON!
There will be worse done than that over the next four years....and it’ll be up to the NEXT GOP President to clean up the mess this dangerous poser is leaving behind him on a DAILY basis.
America cleaned up after Carter & Clinton and we certainly reaped what THEY sewed. :(
We’re so screwed.
So what are they going to do about it besides complain and stomp their feet?
Obama will betray his country for personal gain every time he’s given the opportunity.
Just tweaked it a bit.
Have the American people finally woken up????
GOP, WHERE ARE YOU? THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING.
...wouldn’t it be grand to hang the traitors at the head of the state?
...oh, wait, that makes me a right-wing extremist. [/sarc]
But what will he gain? Spending more than we can possibly pay back, betraying every agency tasked with protecting him, assuring our enemies we’re wimps, selling out allies, throwing everyone close to him under the bus - what on earth can he possibly expect to gain from his chosen path?
Probably not the first time a hack like Rockefeller or Leahy leaked security information for his own partisan reasons...by a long shot... but maybe the first time by an american president, going against the advice of everyone except...??????
and in his first 100 days of office
(who in his closet cabinet did urge him to do this??)
There’s an election in ‘10. If the GOP regains control of the Congress the Marxists can be stopped. If not...encourage your children to learn Chinese.
The Rats are working every possible angle to insure that there never again is a GOP or Conservative President or Congress. The MSM is a partner. The Ministry of Information. Acorn, Census, Amnesity, control of banks, taxes,Supremes etc etc.
They are very close to achieving their aims. We need some conservative leadership..and it ain’t out there.
I wish they would haul Cheney before congress..let him take a piece of them publicly. But, they won’t give him the platform. They will let this all swing in the wind as long as they can. They will encourage the Europeans to do some kind of prosecution..and further embarass us.
This Zero is Evil.
Porter Goss is a serious man, and a patriot. His is an hones appraisal, and it should scare all Americans.
I think many higher-ups will be joining the ‘release the birth certificate’ chorus.
2010? No ... the ballot box has been stolen as an option from the conservative side.
BTW ... harsh but interesting tagline.
Yes indeed. The cheap tatics by this administration will only be tolerated so long before he is eaten by his own.
His socialist paradise.
They're either trying to goad Obama into moving ahead with this, or they're just a bunch of spineless, unengaged pansies. I'm terrified it's the latter and not the former.
Read Saul Alinsky's "Handbook for radicals."
He wants the chaos.
As far as I am concerned this is the same as Philip Agee being in the White House.
Miss California has bigger cajones than most elected Republicans. Eesh.
It is not good to anger the CIA.
Well, no, not for the first time. Back in the days of the Carter Administration, Frank Church was effectively castrating ALL the intelligence agencies, by forbidding the use of “tainted” sources, like suspected “double agents” and persons of no fixed address. Well, DUH, nobody knew anything for years, except for the occasional defector. And only the Chinese knew anythibg for sure.
And we see how well Carter did at re-election time. :)
Are we getting into "high crimes and misdemeanors" territory yet? I think so. Jon Roland probably thinks so, also. http://www.constitution.org/cmt/high_crimes.htm

I really think this issue may gain traction with BO continuing to absolutely commit treason. I’m calling my reps today to ask about this.
This is probably why he won’t prosecute these guys (over the objections of his party whiners). The folks who do the real dirty work (not the analyst types) would just say, “F*** it! I’m going rogue. (And maybe I’ll take a peek at that Birth Certificate)” Obama doesn’t need that.
I've gone from being worried about our future to being frightened. Between the Taliban getting control of nuclear weapons in Pakistan and our forcing Israel to deal with Iran on their own, it looks to me like there's a lot scarier potential outcomes than we've ever had before.
You can imagine what it would have looked like, if on a sensitive intelligence matter involving the CIA and this controversy, if we sent Karl Rove out to do this briefing. And thats in effect whats happened here, says a high-ranking official from the Bush White House. And I assume thats because they saw it primarily as a political issue because its being debated inside as a political issue because its about appeasing the left, whose support they sought during the campaign. And Axelrod is more of an expert on that crowd that anybody else. It also says to me he was in all the meetings where they were debating this question whether or not Obama had better go forward with some kind of investigation.
Maybe so. Like veganism, environmentalism, and other modern -isms, I’m reminded that the goals some have are only possible because of the sociopolitical framework they despise so much. BHO never could have been a “community organizer” if he actually had to get his hands dirty to find dinner.
