He called “on Congress to work with me” to enact the new rules, saying it is essential to return “our nation to fiscal health.”

The president noted similar budget rules helped limit the expansion of the government and wipe out the budget deficit during the 1990s. “I believe that it can do the same today,” he said.

The audacity of audacity.

After bringing the deficit and debt into the realm of theoretical accounting, now he wants a "pay as you go" budget?

Enact this and then with TRILLION dollar deficits already in place for the next ten years then he gets to say “Well - sorry got to raise taxes on the wealthy (those with any money left) the law says so ... “. :-(

What he is saying is we need a MASSIVE increase in taxes, taxes of all kinds.

Because he will not say that we need to cut spending, he thinks we really need to “invest” more ....

If they raise taxes as required to balance the budget then forget about it, depression here we come.

This is nothing but a mandate to raise taxes beyond anyone’s wildest imaginations. Notice the admonition is not to grow government without paying for it first, but that comes after this latest super growth of government that doesn’t qualify. 0 is a lying thief.

Astoundingly. He clearly thinks we're all idiots who can't see the difference between talk and action.
