As Nation's Mood Lifts, Can Obama Capitalize?
WAPOST ^ | 4/26/09 | Dan Balz

The most striking finding from the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll released today is the change in the public mood. Since Barack Obama was elected president in November, the pervasive gloom of 2008 has given way to a sense of hopefulness and considerably more optimism about the state of the country.

This poll was conducted of Detroit city workers, AEW union bosses and ACORN.

The Liberal media is clinically insane and evil.

Once I saw Wa Post, I said ‘here we go”. Try 11.2% unemployment in mexifornia. Clearly, we are still in the “a pony and pie for every household” mode as promised by the illegal alien Kenyan donkey.

You got that right, brudda. This is like listening to Berlin Radio during the daylight bombing campaign.

Pay no attention to that friendly fire!

I suppose some snowflake thinks they can talk all the Trifids into a good mood.

ZZZZZombie America! Coming to eat you brain.

the pervasive gloom of 2008 has given way to a sense of hopefulness and considerably more optimism about the state of the country.

Gee I wonder why? Maybe the 2008 campaign and MSM 24/7 attacks on the White House has ended?

Yeah that's it. I'll read the article. They're professionals they'll be honest about it.

Half the country now thinks things are moving in the right direction [just] 8 percent [thought so] in October [the final month of the year-long campaign]

My comments. Gee the pros must have overlooked months and months of unrelenting attacks on the Bush Administration's "mishandling" of everything.

the poll exposes areas of concern about the economy, national security policy and the president's performance. Worries about the deficit remain strong, with only a bare majority approving of how Obama is dealing with that potentially huge issue . . . Obama's handing of federal assistance to General Motors and Chrysler now get negative reviews, a reminder that bailouts are unpopular. The president has been freely exercising the powers of his office and the federal government in dealing with the economy, but it's clear he has not yet won over the public on how much government they want in that area . . . only a third say the big stimulus package approved two months ago has helped the economy.

That doesn't comport with the tenor of the article. What gives?

White House officials [are] cheered by the lift in the country's mood . . . they are determined to try to leverage public sentiment as they marshal support for the rest of the president's package.

Above comments stated that Obama is getting negative reviews, has not yet won over the public on how much government they want, and his big stimulus package has not helped.

Much of the country has invested its hopes in Obama, and he has made a powerful first impression. The glimmers of optimism that go along with the glimmers of improvement in the economy have accrued to his benefit.

Well yes, dailycuss, moreon.org, the MSM, the Rat Party (formerly the traditional Democratic Party), and all sorts of aging 1960s street rabble and their ideological issue do represent "much of the country."

"...the pervasive gloom of 2008 has given way to a sense of hopefulness and considerably more optimism about the state of the country."

I wonder if they asked any of the millions of folks who attended a tea party last week?

Oh wait - the tea parties were a such joke with low attendance that the drive-by media didn't bother to report about them.

Forwarded to me . . .

NEW FLAVOR AT BASKIN-ROBBINS

In honor of the 44th President of the United States , Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream has issued a new flavor, “ Barocky Road “.

Barocky Road is a blend of half Vanilla, half Chocolate, and surrounded by Nuts and Flakes.

The Vanilla portion of the mix is not openly advertised and usually denied as an ingredient.

The Nuts and Flakes are all very bitter and hard to swallow.

The cost is $100.00 per scoop.

When purchased it will be presented to you in a large beautiful cone, but then the Ice Cream is taken away and given to the person in line behind you..

Thus you are left with an empty Wallet, no change, holding an empty cone, with no hope of getting any Ice Cream.

Aren’t you feeling stimulated?

It has become apparent that if you repeat a lie often enough, sheeple will actually begin to believe it to be true. Sociopaths are good at this technique. We need morally & ethically strong conservative leadership to get our country back before we lose all of our freedom. Pray for our Country, our world and each other.
