President Obama jabbed a political hornet's nest last week when he suggested that Congress might establish a bipartisan review panel to look into the authorization of extraordinary interrogation methods during George W. Bush's presidency. Now the White House and some congressional Democrats want the issue to go away.

Elections have consequences. In this case it’s the destruction of capitalism, the forcing of socialism down America’s throat, and the arrogance of liberal power. SOBAMP!

There is a poll at the site too
go vote.
I’m actually in a toss up about this as I think
the dems are beginning to realize the extremists
on the left that are pushing this have put them
in a bind, the people don’t want this, AND it’s
liable to lead to people and things that tar the
democrats.

Leftists and usurpers like to try and imprison or execute their political predecessors. It is what they think provides legitimacy to their rule while eliminating a source of opposition. They also cannot believe that they may be one day out of power themselves and thus on trial themselves. Show trials are part of an insurance policy that their rule will not have an end.
Show trials of the former regime are a strong indication that the party in power intends to stay in power by whatever means necessary to that end.
