Lord Of The Flies Savages: Gang of Children Stripped, Beat And Tortured Boy, 15, Before Leaving Him For Dead In A Shallow Grave

Four children stripped and whipped a teenager before dumping him unconscious in a shallow grave in a scene reminiscent of the novel Lord of the Flies.
The 15-year-old victim, who has a mental age of seven, was hit with planks and had lit cigarettes forced up his nose.
He begged for mercy from his tormentors - a girl of 14, two boys aged 11 and another boy of 13. The girl had lured him to a woodland lair where the others punched him, kicked him and stamped on his head.
Making death threats, the gang lashed him with branches and spat and urinated on him.
Prosecutor James Keeley told Leeds Crown Court: 'The gang showed him no pity and told him to shut up, otherwise they were going to kill him. They placed him in a ditch with pieces of wood over him as perhaps a makeshift grave.'
Shaking uncontrollably, the victim crawled free after the attack and was found back on his home estate by a family friend.
He was taken to casualty with facial burns and multiple cuts and bruises to his body and genitals. His liver was haemorrhaging.
All four children admitted attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.

My first wife used to spout that kids were born perfect and then we screw them up. I never bought into that. Kids left to their own devices are capable of just about anything.

If you’ve got several children, it won’t take long for you to realize how bad things can go at times. Children need supervision.

I suspect that is partially why single women seem more willing to vote for fools like Obama and married women tend to vote Republican. When you have only yourself to worry about you can believe in foolishness that you wouldn't expose a child to.
Yes, that holds up if you’re single. Many of these women have substituted the government for a husband. It gets even worse when they have children. I have known women who thought society owed it to them, to pay their bills while they went to school. The government was supposed to pay for housing, school, food, childcare, and cash to boot.
Asked if they thought it was right that I should have to pay, they thought it was a great idea.

Are you really saying that you can't imagine an indident like this happening in the US or Australia, let alone Britain at any time in the past? If you really believe that, then, if you'll forgive me saying so, you must have been fortunate in living a life sheltered from what, as a number of other posters on this thread have ponted out, is the pretty well universal capacity of children to regress to a feral condition.
If memory serves, it was Jack, leader of the boys choir, that used the specter of "the beast" (read Devil) from which he promised to protect his flock if they would bow to his "leadership." It was this primitive religion that destroyed the island habitat by burning it, whilst murdering an innocent boy. Power lust begins early and so does the urge for some to surrender autonomy to others for the sake of security. In the inner city, you see evidence of this daily in nearly ever major city as countless boys grow up without fathers.. In Africa you see it in elephant herd left without elders See Here.. This is the nature of things when parents do not parent.
I am reasonably sure things like this have happened through out history on every Continent to every racial group.
In the past, the people would have administered justice and only locals would have known. Now, we have the MSM and our “wonderful” Court system.

The murder rate in the US is almost six times as high as in most western and central European countries. Just as an example (not to mention general violence, the homeless on the streets, the druggies, etc.).

Yes, perhaps it would. And perhaps if you took out those European murders by muzzies, Russian mafiosi, ex-Balkan types etc. the numbers for western/central Europe would be still lower.
And while it must be noted that the numbers for the UK are much worse than for the other western Euro countries (thereby bringing up the average), I think the statement of the original post I replied to doesn’t hold too much water.

My niece and her friend were beaten up by a gang of kids when they were about the age of this young man.
They both ended up dropping out of school, although they were at the top of their class and neither continued formal education, although they got their GEDs.
This happened over a decade ago, and they reconnected recently and talked about the devastating effect this had on their lives.
Both eventually went on to live fulfilling lives, as a result of the strength of their families. They just took a different path.

While not wanting to overly parse statistics, please keep a few points in mind. The story was about young children attempting to murder another young child. This was preceded by a somewhat similar recent incident in the UK. The parents who were interviewed and their lifestyles seem to be a major part of the problem. The ethnic background of the people involved was not disclosed, so I cannot address that issue, but it would be interesting to know. The appallingly modest punishment meted out is also a factor that argues for similar incidents in the future.
There are people in America who are not Americans, who do not consider themselves Americans, who do not conduct themselves as Americans and who will never be Americans. The black crime rate, for example, is ten times that of Caucasians and Asians, while the Hispanic crime rate is also significantly higher, especially for illegal immigrants. Given the number that you quoted, I think that would indicate that people of European or Asian ancestry, in America, have a lower crime rate than Europeans in Europe.
The nutbag Left has made inroads into every country in the world, so no place is as peaceful and safe as it should be. We in America, cannot fight the barbarians of the world alone. We need other countries to be willing to step up and fight along with us. We have been able to count on the UK and Australia, more than anyone else. Australia seems to be taking a stand, of sorts, against being taken over by third world immigrants. While many of the news reports we read from the UK are worrisome. If the news can be believed, it would seem that the UK is slowly sinking under the weight of third world immigrants, who have even had success in causing British politicians to consider allowing Sharia Law. We read of homeowners being imprisoned for defending themselves from intruders. While the UK doesn't yet have a thousand automobiles burned every night, like France, it appears the UK is headed in that direction.
Here in the US, we recently had protests across the country, regarding excessive taxation, and against a dearth of personal responsibility. To my knowledge, there were no arrests, no vandalism, no violence, and no uncivilized behavior of any kind, to report.
The entire world is less civilized than it used to be, certainly. But some countries are slipping away faster than others. Preteens attempting murder for sport, portends poorly for the future.
Well, as I’ve intimated earlier, we both could probably spend all day “tweaking numbers” - who contributes how much to what statistic etc. - but that really isn’t my main point. Yep, there’s a deplorable culture of youth binge drinking and associated violence (and violence in general) in the UK these days, but don’t extend this to the rest of Europe (somehow this always happens here: something goes awry in one European country and suddenly all of Europe is lost?).
And there are many who take a stand against being “taken over by immigrants” in Europe - but sensationalist reporting seldom dwells on that fact, and, lets face it, there are many FReepers who just love to bash Europe (somehow it’s like calling your own mother a bitch, so go figure...).
Since you mention Australia - you may have missed reports about middle-eastern immigrant youths gang-raping Aussie chicks as a pastime, as well as mass gang fights etc. They have enough muzzie problems of their own and still let them in.

When I was a nineteen year old kid, I became eligible for unemployment. I took one check, and refused to pick up any further. I knew I could go out and find a job, and I wouldn’t take it. I hadn’t worked in the system very long, and it just wasn’t right.
No need to ignore anything. And no need imply that Europe bashes the US but the US cannot bash Europe. I’ve lived double-digit years both in the US and Europe. Americans and Europeans are not enemies but friends (for the most part, at least). Don’t fall for agenda-driven propaganda.

I still subscribe to the blank slate theory. The problem is that the world is so full of insanity and evil that they corrupt very quickly without proper guidance.
My take on it is that youth corrupt with no outside influence. That doesn’t mean that they have evil intent. It just means that like you said, they need to have adult supervision until they grow old enough to understand right from wrong.
They do have a blank slate, but even natural curiosity presents them with so many poor choices, that without adult supervision, children would grow up to be quite evil indeed.
It would be evil born of innocence, but evil none the less.
You don’t need to be exposed to the world at large, to be selfish, to covet the possessions of others. It’s a natural instinct, and one that needs course correction along the way. This is only one example of a natural urge that needs to be molded into something healthy.
This is only my take on it, so take it for what it is.
