Why Is Obama Admin Suppressing Info On First Swine Flu Death?
FinkelBlog ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 04/29/2009 4:43:04 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

"A 23-month-old child from Texas has become the first American to die from the swine flu outbreak, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta confirmed today. The CDC released no other information about how — or where — the child may have contracted the disease." — ABC report, “First U.S. Death From Swine Flu in Texas the CDC Confirms”, April 29, 2009 [emphasis added]

My antennae started to go up as I heard various reports about the first reported swine flu death in the USA. A 23-month old child “from Texas” was all that we were told. Googling, I found the ABC article above pointedly mentioning that “the CDC released no other information about how — or where — the child may have contracted the disease.”

Nothing is being suppressed, this is all over the place. The young and the old die every year from influenza, this particular strain might be more virulent, but if anything they are blowing it out of proportion as it is.

Why is everyone playing to the media panic attacks? They say the best thing to do is to remain calm and yet they won’t shut up about it.

According to the CDC and WHO, 200,000 - 500,000 people around the world die from seasonal flu every year. We’ve had like what, 161? Flus spread and the prevention methods are the same. oink oink.

Local Texas news is reporting this but they don’t know or say they don’t know where the child lived. Why hide it.

The pic under post number 1 is patient 0 who lives in La Gloria Mexico near a Smithfield pig farm and as far as I know NOT the child who died here.

Waiting on tests for 200 more.

My cousin’s husband is a VP for American Express and lives in Dallas and was telling us about one of her husbands colleagues two year old had it. I hope it’s not the same one. They had just returned from a trip to MEXICO. The whole family had tested positive. Also, Comal and New Braunfels ISD are closed until May 11. That’s north of San Antonio.

It's good propaganda for Health Care Welfare.

Remember, Mexico was fine until the Oboma visit. After he left, people started dieing en mass.

Never listen to what the politicians say. Watch what they do. Their actions always speak louder than their words.

For example - the NY fly over. Now, there's "new" phonographs of the 9/11 plane. There's the plane, NY buildings, and a panicked people. Watch for these newly "discovered" photographs to hit the Internet soon. They're "proof" Bush blew up the towers and not Obomas Muslim friends.

You see, people are pawns. They're cattle. They're used to gain power and money. Other than that, to the "perfect race/eugenics crowd", they're all expendable.

Agreed: never waste a good “crisis”, even if you have to make one up.

He gets to look “presidential” projecting a brave calm in the face of a virulent attacker.

I am SURE they are disappointed more people have not died so they could really spring into action.

I ain’t buyin it.

Not one little bit.

As a matter of fact, our Dear Leader is doing that on TV this very moment.

He's also telling us to keep our hands washed, stay home from work if sick, keep your children home from school if sick.

He's keeping an eye on the situation.

Saw the interview with the kid's father in La Gloria. Interesting things coming out ~

(1) Local union guys don't think the plant is clean,

(2) Local residents think the plant stinks,

(3) Father said "EVERYBODY HAD IT" and "EVERYBODY RECOVERED".

All of which just has to color the legitimacy of this discovery, expecially the business about everybody recovering from it. That's simply not the case more recently.

Yet, at the supposed starting point the locals say there's a 100% infection rate and nobody dies.

Real, imagined, or in this case - manufactured. They really, really, want that Welfare Health Care.

The grasshoppers have out numbered the ants, and the left is struggling for control. They need money - big money. The ants are already over taxed, but if the left can get their hands on the ants insurance premiums, they'll have unlimited funds to buy their votes and feed their wanting base.

They also want everyone on National Mortgage and National Auto as well, because the left wing base also wants these things for free. They're working on it.

All your cash will belong to them. That's the plan. Without your money, they have nothing to feed their dependant base.

CDC is all hands on deck right now, with way too much to do.

That having been said, they are extremely media-aware, and do not want to make any statements which will restrict their freedom of action.

If and when they confirm more deaths, they are going to have to do things they do not want to do.

It does not help that there's no head of CDC and no Surgeon General.

The politicization of CDC goes all the way back to 1976 and Jerry Ford's famous flu shot on national TV, and has been profound under GOP and RAT administrations both.

In my personal opinion, any real person would be stone out of their mind to accept either the CDC or SG job, which is why we get what we get.

There is a flood of information, a lot of it is contradictory or unclear, and everyone (every professional one) in PHS knows that if any politician winds up looking bad the professionals involved will be crucified.

I have no evidence that this is worse under "Obama" than under either Bush, Clinton, or Reagan.

It's a longstanding problem and it's been very bad for many years.

You know what?

If we all stopped paying those taxes, what could they do?

I don’t mean onsies and twosies here and there but a massive refusal to pay.
Harry said paying taxes was voluntary so ok....we decide not to volunteer?

What do the lefties do then? Yeah you could try to arrest everyone or seize everything but that only works once. They depend on regular and predictable income.

Just a random thought....

You're wrong.

Maybe not. The left wants that Health Care Welfare. They need it bad. Medicaid and Medicare are going broke. They need the insurance premiums to help pay for them. If everyone were on Health Care Welfare, the wealth would be "shared".

This flu is a brew of three different flues. The odds of that combination happening by accident seems rather odd to me.

It's not about you or me. It's not about citizens. It's about power and privilege. The left is losing control. They can't afford to feed their dependent voters much longer. There's just not enough available cash in their coffers. Their base continues to want. They need more, and in order to survive, they'll have to do what ever it takes to get it.

There are unconfirmed reports that three Mexican doctors have died after treating infected patients. More than 80 cases have been confirmed in other countries. [more than that as we have almost that many here]

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/swine-flu/5241858/Swine-flu-two-year-old-in-United-States-becomes-first-death-outside-Mexico.html

The rest of this article talks about people rush to get out of Mexico and back home. [of course bringing any flu they contracted home with them]

Really?

And you can prove otherwise?

No one is dead here. Cases are not more than you would normally expect of any flu.

So where is the big story? A few folks die in Mehico but strangely no where else.

AND EVEN IF THEY DID DIE OF SWINE FLU, their numbers are insignificant to warrant this mass hysteria.

So. what do you mean “wrong”?

It's not a brew of a mere 3 different flus. That's quite a normal situation. This sucker has 4, or 5, depending on you count the swine flu strains.

That makes it absolutely unique ~ nothing like it has been discovered before.

The overall age-adjusted death rate in 2006 was 776.4 deaths per 100,000 population, compared with 799 per 100,000 in 2005. The number of total deaths was 2,425,900, down 22,117 from 2005.

All that in 365.25 days, people die from influenza every single day, in every state. Yes it is tragic, but its a fact of life.

Yes, a single death without giving out any details is being blown out of proportions, especially if they don’t give out important facts like the health of the child before they were infected.

Were there allergies? did the child already have a bad cold when exposed? unless we know all the facts a single death is not that conclusive of the virulence of this disease.

We can't look at any of this in isolation from the big picture. There's a new flu afoot with unknown killing capabilities. Initially it didn't even kill people in Mexico. Now it kills lots of people there, and there's a dead kid here now.

You didn't perhaps have the idea that these flu pandemics begin full blown on DAY 1?
