Palestinian Authority special forces were praised by an American general this week for becoming the founders of a new Arab country within Israel's current borders.

"As I look at you, I couldn't be more proud of the fact that you stepped up to be the founders of a Palestinian state," U.S. Lt.-Gen. Keith Dayton told a battalion in his speech to the troops Monday in Tulkarm.

What a dipweed. From his resume, he seems like one of Clinton’s perfumed princes - that is when he made the jump to general.

Why in the world is the US training the would-be henchmen of an organization that refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist?

Sometimes, we just can't get out of the way of our own stupidity.

A sign of the times, my friends. Israel will be divided for (false) peace. When it will happen, we do not know.

But there are many who are trying to make it come to pass.

It will seem to work ...

at first ...

There will even be a reinstitution of the Temple sacrifices.

Maybe he'll be right this time. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, don't they? In fairness to the General, we're not really training these people to kill terrorists, that they refused to engage Hamas is to be expected. They still refuse.

Israeli official: Dayton failed
Jun 17, 2007 By YAAKOV KATZ

Amid growing discontent in Israel, the United States announced over the weekend that it plans to continue financing and training military forces loyal to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, despite Hamas's takeover of the Gaza Strip.

As security coordinator between Israel and the PA, US Lt.-Gen. Keith Dayton was responsible for training and financing equipment used by the Presidential Guard, Abbas's elite force that was in charge of the Rafah and Karni crossings. During last week's fighting in Gaza, the forces proved their ineffectiveness and together with the rest of the Fatah military and political wing, failed to demonstrate a real opposition to Hamas.

"Dayton's plan completely failed," a senior defense official said. "The Presidential Guards which he was responsible for were easily run over by Hamas."

The official expressed satisfaction with Israel's decision to oppose Dayton's "benchmark plan" - presented last month - which called for free passage between Gaza and the West Bank. "Thankfully we rejected the plan," the official said. "Imagine if we would have succumbed to American pressure and accepted the plan and then Hamas would have taken over."

But despite the criticism, the US said Dayton plans to continue assisting the Palestinians but will shift the focus of his attention from Gaza to the West Bank.

US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said that Dayton's role in the region would be reevaluated in the coming weeks.

"In the days and weeks ahead we're going to take a look at that to see how to proceed with the security assistance program, how Keith Dayton is going to continue working with the Palestinians," McCormack said. "I believe that he has every intention and that we have every intention of his continuing his work with the Palestinians."

Weeds is more like it.

Since many members of the security forces are members of al Aska Martyrs Brigades, terrorists works too. Someone should have State take them off the terrorist groups list. Made Bush look foolish, now it makes Obama look foolish. Arming and training terrorists.

Ruh Roh...this from an American military officer? That seems kinda strange.

So...Fatah is the founder of Palestine and a peaceful two-state solution, eh? LOL. The name Fatah comes from the verb fataha, of which one of the meanings is “to conquer.” Kinda appropriate....

There will be no peaceful 2-state solution. Because Fatah will attempt to conquer with the land held by Israel and continue its terror against the Jews.

Expect a form of false peace (Daniel 8:25, 11:36-39) that only the son of perdition can bring.

And our gov’t is idiotically trying to bring this to pass. Along with the EU, UN and Russia. I have no doubt they will “succeed” one of these days.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
