On NBC Los Angeles this morning, they were talking about Mexico canceling the May 1st and 5th celebrations. What NBC still doesn’t realize, is that Cinco de Mayo is not celebrated in Mexico, other than possibly in one small district, if at all. It’s only in the United States that this wonderful (/s) and colorful celebration takes place. It’s basically a thumb in your eye celebration, that isn’t a carry over from Mexico by any stretch of the imagination.
