Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!
G.O.P., R.I.P!
Amen to that, bro.
He has to use these three years (two and a half) to DO conservative things. And he’s not.
His word is not good enough, he cannot just SAY conservative things, he has to DO them.
Preemptive Opus? Say it ain’t so, Jim.
Yawn. He’s gotta make it through the primaries first.
I find that doubtful (again).
LOL
Take me with you, Jim!
DITTO!!!!
You must be a Rudy supporter.
Mitt barely made it through a couple of primaries the last go around. He has the money, he has the hair, but he doesn’t have the votes. The media and the good-old-boy network want him because he’ll pick up the tab at dinner, but they won’t vote for him in the morning. Conservatives never have been really happy with him, only some when looking on balance with the other options.
2012 is our opportunity. The GOP goes through a resurgence every two decades or so where we get our principles back.. then, when we get power, too many join the cocktail circuit, give up principles for power, and lose power.. we are at the point of the cycle where we are prime to get principled leaders back.
Required reading...
Was that an Opus?
Amen, Mr. Robinson, Amen!
Now, who do you think will be a good conservative candidate that has a chance to win? Who can we really get behind?
You Mormon-basher, you!! :p
Just letting everyone know well in advance where this pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-Liberty, pro-constitution, pro-free enterprise, pro-America CONSERVATIVE forum stands.
I think Romney is a MINO (Mormon in Name Only). Does he stand for any of the Conservative moral principles of their religion?
Not only is Mitt a no-go for me. So is Palin.
We’re not going to start supporting Obama now, will we?
“Hes gotta make it through the primaries first.”
Exactly, which he won’t. When Sarah enters the primaries, she’s gonna blow all of the other candidates away. I think, besides the Democrats, even the GOP leadership is scared to death of her. Maybe because she actually wants to do things that “serve the people of this great country,” as she once said???
The support for Sarah is MUCH higher than Romney’s and I think that it’s only going to grow as we endure more of Obammunism.
SARAH PALIN, 2012!!!!
Palin is a no go?
Agreed. I hope you are planning to start a new party or something IF the GOP goes down that road. I’m with you 100% on that. What use is “Winning” if we’re voting for the same thing just a different party name.
BTW, this may cause some freak-outs over in DUmmie land, as you know they are 2000% sure you’re a RNC mole. LOL!
I saw Romney at CPAC this year. Sure he is captain plastic. You cant appreciate that until you see him in person. But, if he is nominee, I support him.
Of course, I would rather have Sanford, Jindal or Palin first....
No, and we’re not going to support Obama light either.
Okay, good.
And why is that?
Like the laws of physics, Team Obama and the Democrats are defying the laws of economics. It is no longer political, it is academic at this point. The Obama chickens will come home to roost, and the outcome will not be pretty. There is a argument to be made that we should let Democrats take the fall for the consequences that most certainly will come.
The way I see it the country is right now one grand economic bubble. Obama is swimming in confidence, the public is enjoying this seemingly “enchanted” president, but like the dot.com bust and the housing bust, the party is going to end, and end badly. It all seems sooo impossible right now, just as the popping of the previous bubbles did, but this time it's really going to leave a mark. To be forewarned is to be prepared.
For me,yeah. What we need is a true, strong conservative with the stones of a Ronald Reagan. Sorry I just don’t see that in Palin.

Thanks, Jim.

Right on, Jim!
I like the platform of the Constitution Party:
http://www.constitutionparty.com/
When the GOP sent that questionnaire out about how to fix the Republican Party. I said adopt the Constitution Party’s platform...and stick to it!
Dittos.
Well, if you’ve read my past postings, you know that I wasn’t a supporter of the Romulan. But, after four years of 0, I’m gonna be for “whoever” runs against him! I liked McCain, mainly because of his demonstrated loyalty to the military (something foremost for me). I’m hoping for David Petraeus to take up the standard and run.
I see it in her far more than anyone else we have out there with a couple of exceptions. Just look at how the media and ankle biters are going after her. If she wasn’t the threat you describe, they would just ignore her. They have gotten to the point of just making up ***** they pull out of their *****s to try to smear her.
Instead of telling everybody who you don’t want, why can’t you come up with someone you DO want?
This obsessed negativity does nothing for anyone ... certainly not the conservative movement.
.
Jim,
I’m with you! Watching Romney at CPAC was an exercise in stomach control. My husband and I tried to give him a chance, but he is the slimiest politician since Richard Daley Sr. His first words when he took the stage were to bash Sarah Palin (he’s obviously scared of her). It was classless. Then he went onto provide the same stump speech he gave in the primaries. (all hair cream, no conservative meat)
If Mitt’s in, then I’m out!
PURIST!
I thought Romney was better than McCain. However, I not so sure anymore.
I’m not liking any of our options. Where is our 21st century Calvin Coolidge? Or George Washington?
I'd rather look to build bridges with the Blacks and Mexicans -- who might be pro-life and take God seriously -- rather than the welfare-for-Wall-Street crowd that will pat us on the head hoping we stay in our place.
Bravo from a loyal soldier in the ranks.
Ping!
Just added to the Freepathon.
Thanks Jim.
If Mitt Romney is in, I’m in.
No finer person and/or candidate.
LOL

I actually ended up liking McCain a little. He did not have the firmest philosophical grounding and he certainly wasn't the brightest light we could have hoped for, but I think he was basically honest and he would have certainly put the country first.
You’re just a Mormon hater... You are filled with hate if you don’t think that gays should be allowed to have joy in their lives... How can you live with yourself thinking the way you do... Okay, Okay, just wanted to see if maybe I think like a liberal I could understand them a little better... Ummmm... Nope, still think they’re a bunch of empty headed idiots.
