I would like to personally welcome Kansas Senator Sam Brownback as the latest inductee to the GOP Enema Hall of Shame. www.GOPenema.com is a grassroots movement to cleanse the bowels of the GOP and once again make it the party of conservative principles it once was.... Senator Brownback (R-Kansas) joined home-state colleague Pat Roberts and seven other Republicans Tuesday to help Kathleen Sebelius win approval (65-31) to serve as HHS secretary...

Brownback has been worthless since he started using the children of Argument regarding illegal immigration.

What was his percentage of the vote in Iowa. Can’t remember. Nobody cares anyway so I won’t bother to look it up. He’s toast.

Intended to write “children of God argument”

Meant to capitalize God (as is proper) and screwed up.

There goes a pithy post.

Did he just want Sibelius out of the state so he could run for governor?

I am really puzzled by his vote.

I’m probably as conservative as they come but this really puzzles me. Brownback’s vote FOR Sebelius wouldn’t have made a hill of bean’s difference in her confirmation. So he votes against her. So what? She would have been confirmed anyway. I think you have to pick your battles and this was one we couldn’t win anyway. Brownback is a good guy and he shouldn’t have to be punished for this one vote. He votes our way 99% of the time. There are plenty of other turncoats who deserve our scrutiny much more than Brownback. Give him a break on this one. PLEASE. Let’s don’t kill our wounded.

” Did he just want Sibelius out of the state so he could run for governor?”

I don’t know but I have heard that theory before. It seems plausible, If that’s the case, he’s REALLY a fraud. Can you imagine supporting this POS for such a post just so you could run for Governor?

There are some people who you can look at and tell at first sight that something isn’t genuine about them. I’ve always had that impression of Brownback and this just confirms it.

I know, I’d make an excellent juror! LOL.

Brownback wants to be a big deal back in Kansas after he leaves the U.S. Senate.

That’s what he sold out for.

“Give him a break on this one. PLEASE. Let’s don’t kill our wounded.”

You’ve got to be kidding! That is insulting. Ever hear of - principle? Sebelius is ignominious. By not standing on principle BROWNBACK killed HIMSELF. Don’t put this crap on ME or anyone who is rightly appaled by the lack of spine in this compromising coward. Brownback is despicable and represents everything that is WRONG with the GOP. His cowardice, self-serving ilk are GONE with the freaking wind my friend.

BROWNback will be excreted in the coming GOP enema and we will not forget to flush. Now I’ve gotta go because I’ve got a bad case of Brownback - of which I must purge myself. http://www.GOPenema.com

Please don't forget Kit Bond. Now that he is retiring, he
has been leaning to the left pretty reliably.

"What is wrong with the GOP?"

Spine flu. Attacks the spine, leaving it a quivering mass of jelly.

Brownback is a good man. There is more to this story about Sabelius then when know. I am sorry but the Republican party will never be Our Fathers Party again. America has changed....Christians will not be the majority...Christian belief has changed within the church....very libral believers....ProChoice Christians/Catholics.....ProGay Christians/Catholics...i never thought i would see the day. It is all upside down and going to get worse. Its depressing but I dont think we will ever recover. Being about Gods business is where I plan to put my energy. Politics is Satans business.

I believe Republican support was to get Sebelius out of the picture for the 2010 Kansas senate race. She can't run for governor again, and would have been a formidable opponent against either Tiahrt or Moran, who will be running for Brownback's seat. Politics over principles.

Just as many here in NM hoped for Richardson to leave as Governor so that the less environmentally radical Lt. Gov could take over, no doubt there are a lot in Kansas glad to see her go after her radical abortion record and effectively vetoing of needed power plant construction.

Who knew that Sam's mom posts on FR?

Brownback deserves our contempt when he postulates that he's some kind of tireless defender of the unborn, but then turns around and supports this absolute abortion cheerleader.

So we'll stick the knife (and twist) in his career the same way Sebelius' boyfriend Tiller sticks the knife (and twists) to the unborn. Boo-hoo all you want.
