"odd are on Deval Patrick. Obama owes him for handing over Axelrod to help him lie to the Oval Office.

Obama has described his relationship with Patrick as "close and personal". I wonder if that would give him any problems in the confirmation hearings, conflict of interest and all.

Probably some fudge packer to make “historic history” or some other BS. At which point, Arlen Specter will demand temporary readmittance into the Republican party in order to dissent from it and vote for confirmation.

Whichever of the 5 candidates scores the highest score is sure to be the nominee.

He's the incredibly unpopular governor of Mass. He actually coined the phrase "just words, just speeches" which Obama lifted (plagiarized) to use in one of his own speeches.

Patrick and Obama (and Axelrod) are very close.

Cass Sunstein? The dildo who has called for household pets to be ''liberated'', and to sue pet owners for ''abuse'' simply for owning them?

Yes, that fits with the Kenyan's ongoing campaign to destroy the nation, but I must assume you were not serious in thinking that this sorry bastard has or ever should have a place on USSC.

The Rat African American Governor of Taxachusetts.

He’s pro-gay marriage and anti-death penalty. Grew up in the hood in the South Side of Chicago.

A perfect libtard for 0bama to appoint. Stands for everything we’re against for the most part.

Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts.

Patrick was a United States Assistant Attorney General under President Bill Clinton, and before that he worked as an attorney and businessman. He was born and raised in Chicago.

Head of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Dept under Clinton.

From Wiki:

His tenure was not without controversy. Federal affirmative action policy was under judicial and political review, and Patrick was thrust into Clinton's policy defense. Patrick also enforced federal laws concerning treatment of incarcerated criminals, to the extent that one warden called him a "zealot." [9] He has also been criticized for his role in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals case Piscataway v. Taxman, wherein, due to budget constraints, a white woman named Sharon Taxman was laid off rather than an African American woman of allegedly "identical" qualifications, because the school wanted diversity on its teaching staff. Taxman sued and prevailed in US District Court, but Patrick encouraged the Justice Department, which had supported Taxman in the Bush administration, to withdraw from the case. Taxman, who was subsequently rehired, eventually settled her suit.

Cass probably helped Zero get the job to indoctrinate U Chicago law students with his liberal interpretation of the Constitution.

Sunstein is a true socialist. Another perfect 0bama pick that we’d despise for years to come.

He’d probably make Souter, Stevens and Ginsberg look like a conservative in comparison.

Remember, the media and the pundits got three guesses on Bush’s nominees and were thoroughly wrong every time.

I’m betting it will be a minority but not a white woman. The white woman will come when Ginsburg leaves.

Say, you don’t suppose Obama will nominate the first openly homo justice, do you?

And extensive list at Wiki (with links to bios):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama_Supreme_Court_candidates

SCOTUS blog:

http://www.scotusblog.com/wp/justice-souters-retirement-and-where-we-go-from-here/#more-9387

“The President will be personally invested and involved. I think it will come down to interviews between Wood, Kagan, Sotomayor, and two more out-of-the-box candidates, perhaps one with significant political experience and another who is a progressive visionary. And the President will decide personally based on his own very individual view of how he wants to shape the Court. There is no rush to make an announcement. The Term will conclude at the very end of June, and it makes no sense – and there is no pressure – to announce a choice for a successor before the Justice has completed this Term’s work.”

Bush v. Gore

In 2000, Souter voted and dissented along with the three other justices in Bush vs. Gore to allow the presidential election recount to continue while the majority voted to end the recount based on the rule of law, making Bush the president.

Jeffrey Toobin wrote of Souter's reaction to Bush v. Gore in his 2007 book The Nine:

"Toughened, or coarsened, by the their worldly lives, the other dissenters could shrug and move on, but Souter couldn’t. His whole life was being a judge. He came from a tradition where the independence of the judiciary was the foundation of the rule of law. And Souter believed Bush v. Gore mocked that tradition. His colleagues’ actions were so transparently, so crudely partisan that Souter thought he might not be able to serve with them anymore. Souter seriously considered resigning. For many months, it was not at all clear whether he would remain as a justice. That the Court met in a city he loathed made the decision even harder. At the urging of a handful of close friends, he decided to stay on, but his attitude toward the Court was never the same. There were times when David Souter thought of Bush v. Gore and wept."[12]

Obama and Patrick were tapped together at Columbia by Brzezinski. They were acolytes together for him with the end game being the Presidency. Both of their political careers began there in 1981-82 . Zbig was running the Institute on Communist Affairs at Columbia.

Duval Patrick was Zbig’s spare Obama, just like Ruben Askew had been his spare Carter before.

Limit the list to avowed homosexuals. Big O wants to put some sort of unique stamp on his appointment, so that’s about all he can pull out of his — er, hat. Speculation is that it will be a woman, so the odds probably favor a lesbian.
