closest we get to an explanation is that the decision to drop the bomb was “complicated,”

Really, Jon? More complicated than reading a wisecrak off the teleprompter? No wonder why you couldn’t figure it out.

I used to enjoy late night entertainment. These days you take your head in your hands, even tuning in.

Leno, Letterman, Conan, Stuart, they all just a bunch of lousy anti-U.S. ingrates. At to this list that anti-Christian punk on HBO.

These guys made their livelihood in the United States. Our system did pretty well by them. And now they trash our system nightly.

Sorry, that’s not my cup of tea. Frankly, anyone who chooses to sponsor their shows, doesn’t deserve my business.

Hmmm...I wonder....if Truman hadn’t dropped the bomb would Jon Stewart have been born? At the very least history might have been changed enough whereby he wouldn’t have been in a position to spout off his drivel.

Stewart is such a liar. He called Harry Truman a war criminal at least three times in the Cliff May segment. He defended his position repeatedly. This was no slip of the tongue. He said what he meant and he meant what he said.

Cliff May had Stewart completely tied in knots. I heartily recommend watching all three parts of the may dissection of Stewart. It should be required viewing for anybody who agrees to go on the show.

For Stewart to go back now, after three days, to say he mis-spoke is an obvious lie. Apparently he thinks everybody will be too lazy to go back and see for themselves.

The moral calculus about how far to go in roughing up jihadis to save how many lives is difficult, as was the calculus about how many lives would be saved in the long run by incinerating Japanese kids in Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end the war. The fact that Stewart is a hard no on the former yet considers the latter iffy suggests a mentality I simply can’t fathom.

Excellent!
Of course, trying to figure out a simpleton like Stewart is pretty much a waste of time to begin with. Really, who cares?

It would probably shock leftists to know Truman said that after making the decision to drop the A bomb, he didn’t give it a second thought and had a good nights sleep. They like their presidents to be hand wringers and wimpy. Truman was anything but.

Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz needs to be forgiven. His family really have not assimilated as Americans and his world view isn’t informed by any military service on either side of his family. The Leibowitz family just happens to be here so don’t expect a point of view that reflects a patriotic viewpoint: he wasn’t raised with one.

I figured he’d retract it. After all, Harry Truman was a Democrat, and we don’t want to get into the habit of calling Democrats War Criminals, do we?

Jon Stewart’s a friggin JOKE.

He’d never have volunteered, much less reported for induction.

He has no clue what it’d be like to go through numerous Pacific battles, with only the invasion of the Japanese mainland to look forward to.

He told Kramer that this isn’t a joke, yet he continues to be a joke, himself.

RobinMasters,
Truman’s decision to use the nuclear weapon saved countless American lives.
It was the right decision. I do not give a damn about any Japaneese lives lost as a result.

Probably the network threatened to pull the plug after it got some angry phone calls from Demwit hot-shots. Also, the POS now realizes his hero Zero is going to continue the same policies but with semantic changes — and even expand the WOT.
