Sounds like Specter is jealous of the attention that the other airhead of the left, Joe Biden-my-time, is getting for his equally vacuous statement on last week’s Today show about travel.
If Steele and the rest of the RNC would grow some cajones, these two could be the poster children for the 2008 sElection process. Then again, it’s “May Sweeps” on TV, not to mention the NBAbies playoffs, so 90% of the population probably isn’t listening to politics right now.
Arlen Specter has Biden’s Disease!
That is right down there with Edwards claiming that if Algore and him were elected, Christopher Reeves would be able to get out of his wheel chair and walk!
As I posted on a related thread, one of the defining characteristics of politicians down through the ages is an incapacity for shame. As you said quite well, Specter’s words
were “uncouth, undignified, and disrespectful”, but they are what one might expect from a man for whom expediency has been a virtue and character, an impediment.
Now if we can just identify the program keeping that old creep alive and defund it.......
What a disgusting vile human being Specter is. He will fit in nicely with Reid and his filth.
Using Specter's "logic", that means the Republicans did save his own life. I demand that he return it to the party and only sit on the Democratic side of the Senate as a corpse.
You were disappointed that Conservatives werent falling for your bullsh@t anymore.
Perhaps "they" should be defunded.
As with all the other officially-proclaimed "wars" on inanimate targets, the fedgov "War on Cancer" will likely never be won. Oh, yes, they will be fought -- with ever-increasing taxpayer funding, allocated for maximum political gain. And the various fronts will compete with one another to secure what they feel is their fair share of the funding pie.
Isn't that the way all wars are fought? Vigorously, strenuously, aggressively, wastefully?
A medical breakthrough will eventually happen. Whether doubling, quadrupling or octupling federal funding for cancer research will have a proportional effect is the question that must be answered.
What we can be sure of is increasing government's role in cancer research will by necessity take resources away from other areas that may be more important to society, such as our ongoing health care.
Doctors, like most everyone else, go where the money is.
The last time I spoke with Jack’s sons Jeff and Jimmy they failed to mention that republicans for making their father ill. I don’t think I will mention it to them. I think Arlen’s brain tumor did a lot more damage than anyone suspected.
ROFL! Great work LH.
