David Brooks, like Kathleen Parker, Peggy Noonan, Chris Buckley and Colin Powell likes his DC cocktail parties, white wine and cheese. Not a credible pundit writing for not a credible source...

This has got to STOP! Republicans need to DEFINE THEMSELVES and stop letting Newspaper writers and other LIBS do it for them. Rush is RIGHT...We need an teaching tour to re-aquaint America with what a TRUE conservative is and what conservative values really are....

In an op-ed yesterday, David Brooks — The New York Times’ alleged conservative columnist — claims Republicans’ downward trajectory is due to their devotion to rugged individualism and their neglect of community.

I just love it when people attack individualism as something selfish and evil.

Gandhi said to be the change you want to see in the world. That's a philosophy rooted in personal responsibility.

Could you imagine if he said "legislate the change you want to see in the world."

Here we go again... another faux conservative preaching RINOism...telling conservatives how to be good liberals.

Maybe conservatives should write columns telling lefties how to be better Marxists.

This country is soooo heading in the right direction.

“David Brooks — The New York Times’ alleged conservative columnist — claims Republicans’ downward trajectory is due to their devotion to rugged individualism and their neglect of community.”

Yeah, with you left-wing pinkos, David, it takes a village. For conservatives, individuals can get the job done. Go soak your head and spare us your idiocy.

To these beltway “conservatives” what we need to do is go along to get along. No priciple, no standing up for America and what is right. Nope, if we emulate the left then everything will be OK. Whatever jacknuts.

Basically, Brooks is a Republican Fascist, and no individual in the modern world represents fascism like Obama. Brooks would give anything to be Obama for a day.

This is precisely how the New York Slimes defines a conservative. And it shows why that hatemongering leftist rag is essentially bankrupt.

Keep whistling past the graveyard. Even your behemoth Goliath of lie-ber-al propaganda, the New York Times, will be chained and padlocked, foreclose notices plastered on it’s doors by the end of the year.
