I would not be sad if someone punched Chrissy’s lights out.

See my post of 15 minutes ago on how to put libs on the defensive like Matthews did to Pence here.

In DC, Matthews has a reputation as a mean drunk, I wonder if he drinks on air.

This is too rude to post here at FR without offending the Admin Mods and forcing another thread to hit the old memory hole...

As much as I dislike Prissy, it is the duty for all Republicans to study and understand the the physical sciences.
Since the '60s, Americans have allowed the NEA to dictate what is important regarding their education.
Global Warming is now considered science while physics and chemistry are called the cause.

We are doomed as a country if this continues.

Dialog: “No, I don’t believe that,” Chris screamed thoughtfully.

The media is riding high at this time. They've lied to the American people, withheld pertinent information about Obama, and told half-truths to get their Messiah elected.

Soon more and more people will be part of the Tea Parties and the Grassroots movement taking place. Once that begins, PSMBC will finally be flushed down the drain like they should have been years ago.

For the record, I was in a teachers lounge today while visiting a school. They had CNN on (no shocker) and CNN was talking about how the Market “HAD” recovered and things were looking better. Several of the teachers said “see President Obama did know what he was doing, the economy has already turned around”, I sat there thinking, now this is why the public schools are failing. Before someone asks me why I didn't speak up, I was a guest representing my company. Away from my company when off the clock, I do speak up. :)

Geez. I’m a scientist, a conservative, and an unapologetic Christian. I guess that makes me less real than a unicorn :). At least you can see unicorns on TV and in the movies. But you don’t see many guys like me on TV and in the movies, even though there are quite a few of us.

Science is a method for figuring things out. Not a sacrament. It’s not something you “believe in.” It’s something you use when it is useful and discard when it is not.

The greens (and Chrissy Matthews) actually turn science on its head. They do not see science as a way to actually learn true things about God’s creation (or, in their case, about Gaia). They see it as a way to establish “proof” for and then to advance certain convenient “facts” in the political arena. The “method” part of science is really irrelevant to them because they are not interested in falsifying any of their “facts.”

If they spent more time actually developing falsifiable hypotheses and then subjecting their hypotheses to actual tests against the real world, then they would be acting as scientists.

Having a PhD doesn’t make you a scientist. Using the scientific method to investigate propositions does.

And listen to Chrissy’s argument in the segment. None of it has anything to do with science or with falsifying hypotheses. It’s entirely devoted to the politics of using science for a political end.

Chris Matthews was using his fantasy of what a conservative is and trying to apply it to all in an attempt to create a wedge.

Pence needed to go off on Prissy. He (and the rest of the lib MSM) will continue to badger the conservatives on their shows until we start pushing back. These guys (libs) know they are pussies and if our guys start pushing back just as hard they will fold like little girls because they know they have only rhetoric and talking points to go with.

Hey Chris,

This man and his church believe you can’t have science without God.

Monsignor Georges Henri Joseph Édouard Lemaître (July 17, 1894 – June 20, 1966) was a Belgian Roman Catholic priest, honorary prelate, professor of physics and astronomer at the Catholic University of Leuven. He sometimes used the title Abbé or Monseigneur.

Lemaître proposed what became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the Universe, which he called his ‘hypothesis of the primeval atom’.

The biggest news here is that, if I’m reading the transcript right, Rush is admitting he believes in evolution, albeit with a divine hand behind it. Lots of folks are under the impression he’s a creationist.
