Algore is going to get a lot of pigeon poop on his face.

Yeah, be sure to count the metal fumes, BTU input, carbon dioxide, and flux fumes generated by that casting operation.

Who has that Al Gore ice sculpture picture? That was just brilliant.

No fear of anyone defacing that.

For real. Who could be bothered?

Why do they need to build a statute - just use the actual Algore.

I picture a portly statue with a compact flourescent bulb in lieu of a head.

Look at this way: it will help the economy by giving temporary jobs to two sculptors. They both come from Carthage, TN, right?

GORE in bronze

It'll be so life-like.

They’ll have to run a natural gas pipe up through the statue into Gore’s mouth. Adding shooting flames coming from the Man-Bear-Pig’s pie hole will give it a bit more realism.

That would be just GREAT! Like an animated mechanical dinosaur sculpture in front of a Las Vegas hotel-casino. It could go interactive, too, a vistor could press a button, a quotation could be selected from a menu, and one of 3-4 things could happen, depending whether he was talking about global warming, his creation of the internet, his touting of his greenness, of his advocacy of his world wide cap + trade scam.

Global warming quotes: Flames shoot out of mouth, words are rendered with his southern preacher rasp.

Internet quotes: eyes light up, Windows ding-a-ling system load music, “you’ve got mail!” recordings.

Self-touting greenness: Sounds of private jet taking off

Cap & trade: Pink Floyd “Money” starts to play, multiple surround-sound recording of cash registers.

The Al Gore interactive environmental experience.

The only up side of this that I can think of is that I wish I would come back as a pigeon in my afterlife and this statue would be my first stop!

The statue will probably be a lot more lifelike than the real Gore.

Wouldn’t that be a health hazard? I would think piling that much crap in one place would breed disease.
