She knew from the beginning. According to a CIA document compiled by the Director of National Intelligence summarizing briefings to Congress on the use of enhanced interrogation techniques on terrorist detainees, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca) knew from the very beginning that those techniques -- including waterboarding -- were being used on September 2, 2002.
According to the memo the very first briefing listed is 9/4/02 with then Rep. Porter Goss & Pelosi. The summary of the briefing says:
“Briefing on EITs including use of EITs on Abu Zubaydah, background on authorities, and a description of the particular EITs that had been employed.”
This directly contradicts Pelosi’s story, that “we were not told that waterboarding or any of these other enhanced interrogation methods were used.”
As HUMAN EVENTS reported earlier, Pelosi - by objecting to the use of the enhanced interrogation techniques - could have stopped them but didn't.
Pelosi's misstatements were apparently intended to divert attention from her and other Democrats in Congress who knew of all the enhanced interrogation methods -- in detail -- apparently as soon as they were being used.

Bad economy, nope not Obama, not even Democrats don’t pay any attention that they were in charge of Congress since this mess started, don’t complain that people warned against the Democrats 2006 midterm CHANGE elections and this is the fruit of their rule, don’t pay attention that it was Obama and the Democrats that approved the bail outs in 2008, it doesn’t count so shut up about it.

Like the AIG bonus’ that were approved by the Obama admin and then you were told that Obama was shocked and had no idea about those bonuses so just shut up about it and move along.
Like the AF1 NY terror flyover, it was just a photo op nothing more don’t ask anymore because we told you what it was now shut up about it.

She’s always lied about it, she’s still lying about it, and she will continue to lie about it. Even with the proof in black and white, it won’t be reported in mainstream news, there will be no scandal and no investigation. This is the Obama alterverse in which we now live.

Anyway, Pelosi is going to be turned against AIPAC and Israel, and it is going to happen more quickly than one might wish. It’s a little-known, little-used process sometimes called blackmail.

Call it "The Pelosi Method."
That will get some attention and badly needed exposition in the press.
This defense works only when the media decides to stop asking questions, which is what had happened in every case you cite and Speaker Pelosi’s outright lie about this matter is no different. Since the media has failed us so miserably these past years, it is no wonder that so many people are turning to the Internet and forums like the Free Republic (plus Fox News, as the ratings show) to get the information they need.
That is why I refer to them as LIEberals.
