Jeb Bush and the RINOs: Leaving America behind?
World Net Daily ^ | 5/8/09 | Alan Keyes

Posted on 05/08/2009 7:14:38 AM PDT by ReformationFan

According to the headline of an online article in the Washington Times, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush believes that it's "time to leave Reagan behind." If true, this illustrates one of the reasons so many Americans have concluded that it's long past time to leave the Republican Party behind.

Upon his first days in office... George HW Bush began to abandon the Reagan legacy. I am of the opinion our politicos have morphed into “Republicrats”. Not much difference, and both heading to “Plantation Nation” where an “elite” lives on the “Mansion on the Hill” and we reside in the “Mud Huts” living a wretched rationed subsistance!

It’s far more believable that the Democrats figured out how to screw with the new electronic voting machines.

The Bush’s are all RINO’S I laud him on the defence of the country but beond that he was just like his daddy. Soft on domestic policy, securing the boarders and cutting spending. The reason we lost is we did not have a conservative running.

And more line up to the conflict of interest, and not mere conspiracy, in murdering Reagan yet again.
....
All because they are cowards of the Cold War era who havenot the gonades to fight terror.

Next we will see the Bushes standing by Michelle saying we are racists and extremists... How convenient of the corrupt critters who submited to the Rodney King riots in double jeopardy violation.

The Bushs are the single biggest cause of the Republican slide.

Politicians are the effect of larger causes. They don't move trends, they respond to them. Reagan came to power because he had broad support from small government conservatives. The Bushes were never conservative in the Reagan mold as GWB so aptly demonstrated with his massive spending. Jeb is just stating the obvious. The ultimate irony about politicians is that they are not leaders; they are followers of the first order. We will not get a Reagan or a Thatcher until the country demands one.

The purge started in 1989 and is now complete. The sorry state of the GOP and the country is the result. And now the Bush clan and the other pre-Reagan Republicans are trying to blame us.

Why can’t the Dems fracture into a liberal and moderate party? Probably because there seems to very little dissident thought among the Dems. They all seem like mindless unified sheeple waiting for their government checks from the taxpayers.

Don’t kid yourself into thinking that the elections are being stolen.

The elections are simply being bought. When you have almost half of the population paying no taxes and receiving the largess of those that do, they have no reason to vote for lower taxes and more responsibility. Then you have the power hungry elites that can pay 100% of their ‘income’ in taxes since they have enough wealth that they no longer need income. And last, but not least, you have the bleeding-heart die hard socialists that really do think that things are not fair unless the outcomes are fair.

I don’t see a way out of our current crisis at the ballot box unless or until the people realize that the only way we will achieve equality is when everyone is equally poor.

Ah, but we did have one conservative running. His name was Duncan Lee Hunter. The people were deliberately denied coverage of this Titan, this defender of America, this rarity of truth and justice by none other than the
Socialist owned media.
At Free Republic we tried to get the word out, but even here we were met with ...... Duncan Who?

Nobody seems to get, or wants to get what the tea parties are all about. WE HAVE NO REPRESENTATION. The Democrats represent an anti-American agenda; the Republicans represent themselves (a good job with lots of perks, etc.) I don’t know if we can awaken enough sheeple before it’s too late.

The RINO’s are either pretending or deluded into thinking that they are at the middle of Americans and therefore refer to themselves as moderates. They are not moderates, they are liberals. They are only moderate when compared to the radical liberals in the democrat party. The majority of Americans are to the right of the RINOs, so arguing that the republicans need to move further left would just leave a wider gulf of unrepresented people on the right of the spectrum.

Eric Blair’s definition of “power” in his book `1984’, describing Oceania’s Inner Party—setting aside the theme of the book, with the definition as the ability to punish one’s enemies—required that a ruling political group have “the ability to select one’s successors”.
Of course that was an oligarchy. The problem the GOP has is that it is more `democratic’ (and has less discipline) than the Democrats and, to paraphrase Ann C., its dogs don’t like the food set before them.

Jeb’s a mover? Not hardly. Just because he spoke up while the rest are in hiding? He’s merely the messenger and, IMO, he sees he’s been had - it’s what they all think but he said it. Not a smart move, as we all know. That’s what the libs wamt - us to become more to the center because conservatism sells! A mover is one step ahead, not two behind. Palin is a mover!

Unfortunately, and due to campaign management’s incompetence (also due to the lack of backing by REAL money?, as well as the shunning by the media, Rep. Hunter called it a day on January 19, 2008. Who would you have had him endorse? None of them as far as I’m concerned.

The handwriting was on the wall, Paladin. The Socialists would have it no other way.

Jeb should have the good graces to leave Republicans and America alone for awhile. I don’t blame our present predicament on Bush, or Bush alone, but Jeb’s emergence on the national scene at this time, is more dynasty nonsense than good taste permits. He will get a pass by the pop media, if he rejects Reagan and conservatives, but in escaping attack from the vicious left, he ends up alienating the very people who can give him a political future. I don’t get it. Maybe Jeb is looking for a rock star position as a pop media commentator. He and Meghan could go on tour together.

The Bushs thwarted the trend that was growing in the country toward smaller less intrusive government

You can slow the progress of a trend for a cycle if you have the means to do so. (The presidency). But you can't hold back the tide forever. The electorate will get what the want over time. Weather they will like it when they do get it is another story. The interesting question is; Is the repudiation of conservatism by folks like the Bushes, McCain, Graham, Ridge, Ed Rollins, etc. a short term thing or a larger societal pattern?

One day Jeb Bush was walking near a lake in Florida. It was a beautiful day. People were walking by the lake and children were paddling by in a canoe.

Suddenly the canoe with the children tipped over. Unfortunately, neither child had a life jacket on. Both children did not know how to swim. They were trying desperately to keep their heads above water. Jeb Bush was only a few yards away. He watched as both children drowned.

The children's panicked stricken parents had run around the lake. When they reached the spot where Jeb Bush was they screamed "you were only a few feet away! why didn't you save them?". Jeb Bush looked at the parents then pointed to a sign that said "SWIMMING IN THE LAKE IS AGAINST THE LAW!"

You might wonder what kind of man would do such a thing. What kind of man would allow someone to die just because of a "law"? The answer to that question is a man like Jeb Bush would. If you don't believe me ask Terri Schiavo. Oh wait, you can't ask her can you?

Jeb Bush is one of the most wimpy assed pu$$ys ever to be elected to any office. He, like the rest of the Bush family, are blood sucking ticks feasting on the taxpayers. To hell with them all.

Because we hear it over and over and over - Bush's fault. It's so liberal - always pointing the finger away from themselves. Did we see Bush do that to clinton? No. and he had plenty to point the finger at. And msm was praising willy. Bush didn't use that 'finger pointing' tactic. If, in '93, willy took care of the terrorist, what then? He ignored it all - only fun and games and hollywood and keeping his name out of the headlines - and the dotcom was running wild. So bush was left w/the major cleanup - 9/11, etc.
