No global warming crackdown for polar bears

The Endangered Species Act 'is not the appropriate tool for us to deal with what is a global issue,' Interior Secretary Salazar says in announcing that the Bush-era policy on emissions will stand.

Reporting from Washington -- The Interior Department on Friday let stand a Bush administration policy barring the federal government from using the precarious state of the U.S. polar bear population as a reason to crack down on global warming, upsetting environmentalists and cheering oil and gas companies.

The decision means the government cannot use the Endangered Species Act to regulate greenhouse gas emissions -- even though Interior Secretary Ken Salazar explicitly has blamed those emissions for the habitat erosion that last year landed the polar bear on the list of threatened species.

Kill a bear, save 10 seals. A trade off for the eco-stains.

Obama is having epiphanies—things I thought the brainwashed Marxist sucker was too stupid to experience.

The first black president doesn't want to be the worst president so he tempers his socialist desires with internal opinion polls that say go slow and upchuck the more disastrous leftist policies that will make it another 200 years before another black, good or bad,can ever become president again.

He ain't so stupid, evil commie America-hater to be sure, but not stupid—and his being more vain than ideological may be America's saving grace..

I think the record sales of guns and ammunition during his first 100 days may be giving him hard fact hints.

Perhaps, for the first time in his life,he researched the US Constitution and discovered the true purpose of the 2nd Amendment. I would pray that our president thus had the sense God gave the amoeba.

It nice to know that the envirominalsts will one less propaganda club to use to beat the public over the head.

Biodiversity per Merriam & Webster: biological diversity in an environment as indicated by numbers of different species of plants and animals. (i.e. a meaningless fancy name)

What do polar Bears care about diversity, when they are at the top of the food chain? I'd say that is a pretty exclusive species. The Interior Department should send biologists to the Arctic to indoctrinate polar bears on vegetarianism. Hey, it's good enough for the caribou.

Didn’t you know that Canadian baby seal clubbers always keep their snowmobile engines idling to ward off polar bears?

Buying cap and trade credits for the carbon emmisions is more than compensated by the income resulting from the sale of the soft, warm and expensive pelts.

Plus,the bears don’t eat you.

The Nazi extermination camp of Treblinka used carbon monoxide generated by diesel engines to mass murder Warsaw Jews.

If they had cap and trade and bought carbon credits their actions would have been changed from killing the Jews to saving the planet...

In today’s world.
