Wanda had a funny bit, early on—that basketball jokes; and the one abot giving the Queen an Ipod (’she’s gonna dl Lady GaGa?’...’What are you going to give the Pope, a BlueTooth?). And she had one surreal part of the routine. While glowing on and one about Obama being the first Black President, she added...”But you are only half black, so if you screw up...its gonna be, ‘so who voted for the mulatto?’”.
Surreal. When he falls from favor (screws up) and he will...like a fading Dorian Grey...he will get paler and paler in the eyes of his sycophants. They have too much of an emotional investment not to get ugly when they trully “see” him.

As I understand it, the O’Bumbler threw his own kids under the bus (so to speak) by making a joke in which he claimed that they were responsible for the infamous flyover.

I missed elRushbo too...but I do love Mark Steyn when he subs...the ‘other’ Mark...not so much. I think Mr. L will handle the whole thing really well on air; hopefully “off air” he’s a little more vindictive (I know I would be!)
You're right. The comedians say what they're going to say. Although, I do remember that Cedric the Entertainer made a comment about some of his material getting cut - he's a blue comedian from what I understand.
However, Imus like Colbert and others really stuck it to the sitting president. Not this time. Even the website "TMZ" described Sykes' performance as well as the whole night as "sycophantic".
It will be interesting to see what happens next year, and what comedian is picked. Although, I can't think of one comedian, except for maybe Dennis Miller, who isn't a bed-wetting liberal.

Suzanne Malveaux said that she hoped Clearance Thomas' wife fed him eggs so he'd die of a heart attack? That is unbelievable. When did she say this? And, why is she still employed? (I'm assuming she's still employed, because I haven't watched CNN in almost 7 years).
I am FReeping from my bb at work, or I would Google it. I am going solely from memory...but I was on NPR (not CNN)...and she made a catty remark about his wife’s race, and then went on about how AA men have a pre-disposition towards high blood pressure and strokes, and she hoped the wife was feeding him a lot of eggs. I think she was on a “role” about an abortion vote Justice Thomas made (again going from memory). It was pretty ugly; but pretty much dismissed.
There are two Malveauxs (sisters?) And I think it was Suzanne who had the high cholesterol wish.
