The private-jet industry may have finally found its savior.
During a speech to Duke University’s graduating class, Oprah talked about the secrets and joys of success. Among them: owning a mansion and a jet.
“It’s great to have a nice home. It’s great to have nice homes! It’s great to have a nice home that just escaped the fire in Santa Barbara,” she told the students. “It’s great to have a private jet. Anyone that tells you that having your own private jet isn’t great is lying to you.”
She went on to explain that “you haven’t completed the circle of success until you help someone else move to a higher ground and get to a better place.”

No. She’s been like everyone else. Actually maybe not. I’ve met more women who are decidedly unhappy with kids and married life because of how much time and money they spend on their kids. Makes me uncomfortable to be around such people.

I just hope Oprah has sense enough to realize that liberty and capitalism (which is a form of liberty) are the sine qua non of her success and that, if she is as benevolent as she appears to be (and as I believe her to be) she will acknowledge this and admonish those less intelligent than she not to kill the goose that lays golden eggs for everyone--at least everyone who is willing to work hard and follow their dreams, as Oprah has done.
Just how aware Oprah is of this--though I do believe her to be a benevolent and a good person--remains to be seen.
A private jet keeps her from having to buy 2 seats on a commercial airline to plant her fat a$$.

Sure, if you have hundreds of millins. Me, even if I hit the lottery, I doubt i’d *buy* a jet, firstly, because once I got myself a nice, high security apt, and furnished it, I doubt I’d be traveling enough to want to pay for it, it’s hanger, it’s maintenance, It’s year in and out pilots salary...If I needed to fly somewhere, I’d just charter a small jet, almost the same amount of convenience, without burning through my winnings. My dreams aren’t so much “Champagne and Caviar”, as “Clementine Orange Juice & a housekeeper that can cook like Rachael Ray.”.

God knows that I love mine.But not wanting to be too ostentatious I opted for one of the less expensive models made by Chevrolet in,I believe,Lordstown,OH.
