President Obama’s national security advisor, retired Marine Gen. James Jones, said over the weekend that he “doesn’t know” if the Obama administration is going to try to overturn the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that homosexuality is incompatible with military service.
He also said that changing the military’s policy on homosexuality would not be “like a light switch.”
Jones was interviewed Sunday on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos:
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, host: A lot of your former colleagues in the military, a thousand flag and general officers including 50 four stars have written a letter to the president opposing any change in the policy, saying that their past experience as military leaders make them concerned about it. They think it's going to have effect on morale, discipline, unit cohesion, what do you say to your former colleagues?
GEN. JAMES JONES, national security advisor: Well, I think -- as I said, this is illustrated by the fact that this is a very sensitive issue and it has to be discussed over time and it has -- all sides have to be heard. But I think most of us who have served in the military believe that the “Standards of Conduct” is what determines the good order and discipline. So as long as conduct by all members of the military is not detrimental to the good order and discipline, then you have cohesion in the ranks. But there is --

I can see how Obama can fix this problem...
He can just start by placing these "flag" officers with "fag" officers...Problem solved.
Of course, it would DESTROY the military, but that should not get in the way of Obama's plans.
Just wonderful, from tax payer funded boob jobs to now tax payer funded sex changes in the military.
And this is not including sexual harassment, hate crime laws, sex related corruption and promotions, as well as pimpological gangsterism of IG feeling threatened by truth and thus bullying victims of perverts, cowards and hadjiTowell heads betrayers on the field.

Funny ... the Constitution does not express or imply a “Right to Military Service”. People demanding the access to the military in order to feel good about themselves probably do not make for the best candidates.

The real question here is when are the Gays going to start holding Obammy’s feet to the fire on this? as well as Gay “Marriage”?

Didn’t Bill Clinton simply issue an Executive Order putting “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” into place, and couldn’t Obama simply issue a new E.O. reversing it, if he “really” wanted to?
Just imagine what is happening to Ms. California now happening to military commanders who try to discipline gay service members? They will be targeted and destroyed by the gay mafia and the Press while the DOD leadership idly stands by. Plus a lot of people in the military are religious. Do you think they will want to have same sex “couples” as neighbors?
Once the door is opened, you will see more and more focus on gay-centric policies. These policies will give gays more and more “in your face” rights while making it impossible for commanders and NCOs to enforce good order and discipline. Aa a result, there will be a gradual, but ever increasing exodus as good people find they can no longer put up with the foolishness. The end result might be a “military” in name only, with most of the heavy lifting being done by para-military (for profit) companies.
The military has weapons - that makes libs nervous.
Why not? The Dems control our House of Representatives. They control our Senate. They control our White House. The only reason for them not to "fix" this "injustice" is because they don't want to. The question is do they not want to because they despise gays, or is it because they like keeping gay voters under their control with the threat that republicans won't do anything for gay voters?
All he has to do is issue the order...so if he doesn’t....
Having known a couple of “BAMS”, and a couple of Marys’”, I can truly say that I would take the BAMS in my fighting position any day as opposed to the Marys’.
