If we have reached a point in the development in our society, where a beauty pageant contestant is disqualified for believing that marriage should be restricted to a union between a man and a woman, then shouldn't the President of the United States get the same treatment?
I am just saying fair is fair. And personally, I care much more about Barack Obama's view of same sex marriage than the polite comments of Carrie Prejean.
I must ask you liberals, why do you hate Carrie Prejean so much and love Barack Obama, who has done nothing for gay rights, does not believe in gay marriage, is in defiance of the Ninth Circuit's order to extend health care benefits to the same sex partners of federal employees, has made no real effort on ?don't ask don't tell? and is the single person most responsible for the passage of Proposition 8 (a fact that continues to be totally ignored by the gay press)?
Of course, Obama is black, and that goes a long way in liberal circles. Besides, when it comes to gay rights the Democratic Party has been playing the gays like a fiddle for so long that I really think it would be worth conducting a study to determine whether there is a relationship between sexual orientation and gullibility.
But that does not explain the vicious hatred of Carrie Prejean. She doesn't really matter?at most she is a very minor footnote in history?like Anita Bryant. And she believes the same thing about same sex marriage as does Barack Obama!
The reason Carrie Prejean is an attractive target of the Left is that she is, like Sarah Palin, attractive. Yes, it is young and good looking that is the real deal breaker with this crew.

It is striking how the media has handled the aftermath of the news conference this morning. All of the sudden they are silent and bikering amongst themselves the revelance of Carrie (MSNBC) but before the news conference it was wall to wall coverage. Very obvious to me at least. THoughts?

This is true. I live in a fairly well-to-do small Massachusetts town that is full of affluent liberals. My hot, conservative wife totally does not fit in with the frumpy liberal hags that make up most of the community here.

Does anybody out there know anything about MSNBC’s David Schuster? After the Trump/Prejean Press Conference he just went off on Prejean with a hate that undermined his attempts to appear as an unbiased journalist (Which of course we have known he never was). I am beginning to wonder if he has something in common with Perez Hilton. Anybody out there have any insight on this.

The Left’s reaction to Miss Prejean was predictable to anyone who understands that the Left is organized to exploit ENVY.
Envy is a powerful, destructive, and visceral emotion. It is the central motivation of followers of the Left, though it it is often whitewashed with high-sounding egalitarianism.
I suspect that there are more than a few women that are envious of Miss Prejean’s drop-dead gorgeous good looks. Since she voiced an opinion contrary to the Left, its opinion leaders recognized an opportunity to exploit that envy.
I hope if the Donald was going the other way, that Carrie’s attorney strongly advised him of what their next step would be - especially since Miss Rhode Island’s pictures were more revealing.... and Ms. Prejean was simply agreeing with the current POTUS....

The left wing believe that they control popular culture and that all future generations will become more and more leftwing. Many times in debates left-wingers have boasted that in ten to twenty years this will no longer be an issue because kids are excepting left-wing morality in regards to sexuality.
When the left-wing see a young and beautiful woman like this who is successful taking a stand against their left-wing morality they become incredibly afraid that other young people will choose to take her side. The left-wing needs to control the pop culture or else they lose.
The biggest mistake that conservatism as a whole has made is to not push back against the constant sexualizing of our youth by the MSM, Hollyweird and the advertisement and music industries. (the colleges as well) Conservatives need to make it more popular to have good morals.
