Here’s a curious development for you: Brian Rogers, spokesperson for John McCain’s presidential campaign last year, is now working for Al Gore.
Rogers sent an email dispatch on Friday announcing his new job as research director for Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection. In the email, Rogers said he will be “working on the Repower America campaign to pass comprehensive energy and climate change legislation.”
On the campaign trail last year, Rogers’ shining moments included attacking Barack Obama for opposing increased domestic oil and gas production, arguing that Obama lived in “a frickin’ mansion” that was “bought in a shady deal with a convicted felon,” and insinuating that Obama is an “arugula-eating, pointy headed professor-type.”
I guess we’re supposed to say something about strange bedfellows here ...
UPDATE: TPMDC got a reaction from Rogers’ former coworker, McCain campaign deputy communications director Michael Goldfarb: “Everybody knew Rogers was a tree-hugger, but I didn’t think he’d take it this far. He’s dead to me.”

That’s nothing, there were McCain 2008 staffers who went to Obama 2008 after securing McCain the 2008 nomination.
And there were Howard Dean staffers onboard McCain 2008 back in 2006.

Sometimes I think the whole election was a Dog and Pony show. And McCain thought he would play along by choosing an impossible “outsider” to insure the Plan for Obama was uncontested.
Lo and Behold, beyond the belief of the arrogant out -of-touch career power brokers, people LOVED Palin!
And she wanted to win! And she is a person.
No wonder McCain threw her under the bus and the “election system” and hollywood “galmourazzi” and “obamanazzis” hate Palin.
She was unexpectedly rocking exposing this absurd theater of our “elected” royalty.
So, keep her busy and destroy her, man. Poor McCain, once a prisoner now the warden....

The carbon credit people are re-charging. They thought they could slide cap and trade through on liberal arrogance alone. They had a set back and need to gain “conservative” support on “market based solutions”.
