ATLANTA (AP) - It's been two months since 2-year-old Cori pulled the gold stud from her left earlobe, and the piercing is threatening to close as her mother, Maggie Anderson, hunts for a replacement.
It's not that the earring was all that rarebut finding the right store has become a quest of Quixotic proportions.
Maggie and John Anderson of Chicago vowed four months ago that for one year, they would try to patronize only black-owned businesses. The "Empowerment Experiment" is the reason John had to suffer for hours with a stomach ache and Maggie no longer gets that brand-name lather when she washes her hair. A grocery trip is a 14-mile odyssey.

Now tell me, if white people decided to only shop at white buisness for a year wouldn’t that be called “racist”?

Patronize only black-owned businesses for a year, and it’s “an experiment”.
Patronize only white-owned businesses for a year, and it’s — racism!

So much for diversity. It is charming how they discriminate against people selling things, simply because of their skin color.

Why is it illegal for white businessmen to refuse to sell to black customers, but it is perfectly legal for black customers to refuse to patronize white businessmen?
The legalistics of the thing don't seem quite symmetrical to me.

Ah yes. The "Buy Black" Experiment.
How about you racists try the "Kiss My White A$$" experiment?
These bloodsuckers decry the segregated-south, and when the walls finally fell down (which they certainly SHOULD HAVE!) all they want to do is segregate themselves from Whitey anyway.

Hey, I am all for black folks getting into business, especially retail, but like most white folks who have been in this country for years and years, they’d rather work at other things. It’s immigrants and their kids who prefer to do the retail thing.

You know, maybe a little off-topic, but I live in an area which was traditionally about 30% black, and I can count on the fingers of one hand the total number of black businesses I have ever seen in my entire life.
Around here, you'd quickly starve to death [like, in a matter of days] if you only purchased "black".

There are books to direct Democrats to patronizing only Democrat owned businesses (and directing them away from Republican businesses).
I reject the whole “red state”/”blue state” naming convention because Democrat state victories were RED (like Commies) until we were “TOLD” that this is a “red state victory” or “blue state victory” in the past couple election cycles.
Anyway, to hear the Left spin it, if you patronize only Republican businesses, you will only be buying from White Americans (it isn’t true but that is the myth they are spinning).

“my people have been here 400 years”
First thing that comes to mind. “my people” Her “people” are the citizens of the United States!!
AND
I SERIOUSLY doubt her “people” have been here for 400 years. 200 maybe, 300 MAYBE.
Unless of course her “people” came over on the Mayflower.
This just makes me want to patronize only white owned businesses, if I even paid attention to that sort of thing.

Reminds me of a very astute observation made by a mildly intoxicated (white) passenger on a city bus in the New York metropolitan area some years ago. Looking around, he noticed that every black passenger who got on the bus made his/her way to the back and slouched down into a seat with a permanent frown on their faces.
Turning to his fellow passenger, he lamented . . . "What would Rosa Parks think of this sh!t?!"

A lot of this is anti Jewish based. Years ago in mostly high crime areas, only Jews would invest money and open stores. Thanks to clowns like Al Sharpton, who instead of trying to get some people to invest in stores. He and his ilk mostly just scream that whites are ruining the hood and should leave the stores to the locals. Koreans have been added to this list of targets. Al has never been punished for the record store that his followers burnt down. But if some one white tried this. Racism would be the charge.

Democrats are brilliant. They fought to keep Jim Crow Laws and segregation as long as possible. Once they could no longer contain the freedom of minorities through the justice system they flipped the playing field. They have convinced the minorities to segregate themselves and blamed the majority for it.
Black Pride and White Guilt. Two foul poisonous fruits from the same tree.

Heh. Reminds me of the scene from the movie Arthur where he asks the butler if he remembers how they used to play hide-and-seek and the butler never found him, and the butler replied, "Did it ever occur to you that I never looked?"
