A picnic open to the public at a park in La Crosse County will offer free brats and hamburgers and an invitation to bring your gun.
Organizer Hubert Hoffman says Sunday's picnic at Marvin Gardens Park in the Town of Onalaska celebrates a recent opinion from state Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen that citizens who openly carry firearms should not be cited for disorderly conduct.
Hoffman says the picnic is open to everyone, including children and those who don't want to bring a gun.

I hope the organizers stay alert. This is the sort of thing that Obama’s thugs would crash to cause trouble.

Having lived in Milwaukee for 12 years, before returning to Ohio, I’m pretty sure the “BRATS” in the title refers to sausages and not children!

Gee, thanks for your approval. Already got it from James Madison when he wrote the second amendment though...

Hoffman says the picnic is open to everyone, including children I thought this WAS the brats they were referring to.

I always enjoyed being in Sheboygan when my corporate office was located there.

Sounds like risky business to me (especially if alcoholic beverages are included).
All it would take to create a national anti-gun incident for the gun-grabbers to publicize forever would be for one 0bamaTroll to show up and "act up" -- and for one conservative to brandish (or worse -- discharge) a weapon in response...

I’ll wager that there will be some rules and they will be strictly enforced.
I’m not worried. They’ll do just fine.

Right-on, Eric.
OTOH when we were kids we used to sum up bad situations saying, "Better than being stuck in Sheboygan without a car."
The town's no longer a tough little Great Lakes fishing town, today. It's quite clean, very nice and totally secure compared to Milwaukee. ;^)

Now, now! We want to be good citizens and they do require that you leave the ammo separate from your properly holstered and visible firearm. It does sound like fun.

FYI: The 2nd Amendment is SELF-incorporated to all government entities at every level. It is MORE ABSOLUTE than the 1st Amendment, or any of the others, because the wording forbids not only CONGRESS, but ANYONE from infringing on it. The 1st says Congress shall make no law.... The 2nd say shall NOT be infringed! Period! End of debate!

Stopping by to see what my EPIC FRiend is doing.
My Aunt is from Sheboygan. All her kin has passed though.
How’s that Red wagon running?
Have fun at the picnic. It will be the safest place in America on Sunday!
To: Jimmy Valentine's brother
Well, Hello, to your aunt is Sheboygan.
The Red wagon is doing well. Fighting rust and deer every day!
My farm friends just e-mailed and offered to carpool with me to the picnic so we'll be going! Will be a lot of fun!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend! Tell the Chapter I said hello.
To: ButThreeLeftsDo; Diana in Wisconsin
And Party, we did!
Here's a video of the day's activities. It was a lot of fun! More than 200 people attended by the time I left the area around 1pm. Wonderful, friendly people, wearing their favorite firearm. Thanks, to Hubert and his family for hosting the picnic with free brats, burgers and sodas! Please ping the WI list and others who might be interested.

:-) Yeah, the weather was great! Low 60s with a little breeze but wonderful sunshine. I can’t believe I’m referring to 60 degrees as great.
