FIVE MUSLIMS ARE CONVICTED OF A PLOT TO BLOW UP THE SEARS TOWER

FIVE MUSLIMS ARE CONVICTED OF A PLOT TO BLOW UP THE SEARS TOWER

The headline from the Associated Press reads "5 Miami men convicted of Sears Tower attack plot". Read the story here ... then click back.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090512/ap_on_re_us/us_terrorism_investigation

There ... did you notice anything.

Though at the end of the story you'll see some references to al Qaeda .. nowhere in the story are these men identified as Muslims; and yes .. they were all Muslims. Another story identified them as "members of an apparent militaristic religious sect", but not Muslims.

Radical Muslims can rant all week long about their intentions to kill as many Americans as possible and to bring destruction to our shores, but for heaven's sake we simply cannot identify these people for what and who they are. That would just be oh so insensitive and offensive, wouldn't it?

Wait for the White House to submit an Amicus Curiae brief in support of giving the terrorists probation since they were just expressing their religious beliefs (which the TOTUS-reader shares).

That’s OK.....this is why the mainstream media is going broke. People can read between the lines....it’s what happened in the USSR when Pravada published a “story”.

You learn to filter this stuff. Ever notice when the MSM “reports” a crime...like rape? When they give a description of the culprit...if they leave out the race...then you know.

Terrorism....excuse me, I mean plots like this one are pretty well understood by the readers...you know, this PC stuff is a lot like McCarthyism...except it’s not what they say, it’s what they don’t say.

Like when a dim politician gets arrested/convicted of a crime, they never mention his party. Hmmm. Hide the identity of muzzies and dims. Why would they do that?

Here, the author is trying tocreate the imopression that the perps are right-wing extremists (ala McVeigh):

"federal prosecutors finally succeeded Tuesday in convicting five Miami men of plotting to start an anti-government insurrection by destroying Chicago's Sears Tower and bombing FBI offices"

Holy Schnikees. I remember walking north out of the Loop that day and looking back at the Sears Tower and wondering if it was a target as well.

I remember that Cheney was rumored to have directed the grounding of all flights that day and I still believe that he saved American lives in that act.

I also heard rumors of suspicious types taking trains south that week and crossing the border into Mexico.

“When they give a description of the culprit...if they leave out the race.” .......... Yeah, but if he was a minor Republican official it would be a front page smear for weeks and a constant joke mater for months on Leno.

Why should they want to blow up the towers? They would make fine restyled minarets for the Muslim call to prayer after the Jihadists take over!(sarcasm on)

A flight out of Dallas was grounded on 9/11 (before all fights were grounded)... the passengers were told it was because of a cargo net. Four Arab/muslim passengers tried to de-board by force and were chased through DFW airport (and later arrested on an Amtrak train). I heard this a few days later from two passengers who were supposed to be on that DFW-to-SFO flight.

We all agreed Sears Tower was the target that day.

So was the conviction of the arson firebombings and kidnapping plots at the 2008 RNC convention. One of the firebombers was convicted the same weekend that Ron Paul supporter carved the B backwards in her cheek and was exposed. One made the wire services, the other did not.

The man and his wife were guests at a Big Sur ranch we were staying at, it didn’t really get out into the public. My wife was able to verify the story about the muslim men arrested at the train station in Texas, though.

Listening to him tell the story gave me chills. Thinking about it still gives me chills.

Take the perps to the top of the sears tower in one of their crazy fast elevators and throw them off the roof.

DFW-to-SFO flight. We all agreed Sears Tower was the target that day.

Seems unlikely, IMO.

Did you consider the following:

The three planes which did make contact with their targets took off from an origin not farther than 200-300 miles of these targets.

Why would someone try to hi-jack a plane way down in Dallas, and think they could get it all the way up to Chicago successfully, to impact the Sears Tower?

Dallas to Chicago is much, much farther than Dulles Int'l, D.C. to The Pentagon or Boston to NYC, i.e., WTC.

Dallas to Chicago is appx. 800 miles.

If they wanted to crash into the Sears Tower, they would have used the airport in Detroit, or another airport relatively close to the Sears Tower, one would think.

Yes, but United 93 traveled about 300 miles across Pennsylvania — almost the entire length of the state — before it was supposed to turn south and head another 200 miles to DC. Using the same logic, why didn’t they hijack a flight out of BWI?

In the air, Dallas to Chicago is about 700 miles. With a full tank, that leaves plenty of fuel to produce the desired effect. The flight wouldn’t have been airborne much longer than United 93 should have been before arriving at its target (less than an hour, assuming it was the Capitol). And we know the attacks were timed to come one on top of the other.

It’s all a guessing game. You could be right, I just don’t see another highly symbolic target within striking range of DFW. And I’m convinced there was a flight out of Dallas that was supposed to be hijacked.

That's because the hi-jackers were not as "good" as the hi-jackers on the other planes. I doubt Osama bin Laden said "Wait until you get to Cleveland before you turn the plane around in the right direction." That particular hi-jacked flight did not go as easily as the hi-jackers expected; therefore all that extra mileage.

It didn’t go as easily because the passengers knew what was going on, not because the plane was hijacked by OBL’s “B Team”. They didn’t take into account what the passengers would do once they realized the hijackers’ intent. United 93 was taken down because the passengers found out via cell phones that they were on a suicide mission.

The way I see it, that’s a pretty good indication that the plan wasn’t as meticulously thought-out as they’re given credit for.
